  • Let me add another aspect of this major glich in the hope it may give EA a clue. I am collecting FP points (Frienship Points) but i had maxed this out long time ago. I am at level 1 for this process and can't budge. I have all the friendship prizes so it a no harm done glitch

    That has already been included in this post. It's one of the many things wrong with this glitch.
  • This glitch happened to me yesterday, so I just called EA for a Rollback as recommended by everyone. The good news is they rolled back my game, but the bad (perhaps horrible) news is that it was rolled back over a month, UGH! So now I won't be able to complete the current event or the prior event (Bart Royale) :s

    This sucks so hard. I'm uninstalling. :'(

  • I had the glitch two days ago and the support said the problem is going to be fixed by the studio "they are working on it"; they gave me two options: rollback (losing everything, including donuts -even the ones I bought with Sven Golly- ) or wait for the fix...

    They have been saying that for over a year now. I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you

    @NoryenSS They did a similiar thing to me with my last roll back. There were supposed to roll back it back 2 days before (Monday of current week). They instead rolled it back to the Monday the week before.......9 days instead of 2 days ago.

    I talked to them on the phone and had them fix their mistake. They resisted to correct the issue as first (rather the customer deal with their mistake of them having to deal with their own mistake).

    I remained polite.....but FIRM.....I was not going to deal with their mistake....they were.

    It took about an HOUR of haggling....but they ultimately relented and re-rolled it back to only 2 days ago.

    “They have been working on it” (at least according to various members of the EA help staff) seemingly forever. A fix may be imminent, but don’t count it.

    If you paid real world money for donuts (vs farming donuts or bonuts).....then you need to demand you are compensate for that BEFORE they roll back......and INSIST they roll back.

    While ALWAYS remaining polite........IF they refuse to restore real world paid for donuts to fix a glitch they created, I would then simply ask what is the home city of their corp offices to file a complaint at the BBB, then tell them you will report them to GooglePlay (or iTunes) for not delivering what you paid for (instructions on how to report it to Google HERE , and that you will ask your credit card company for a charge back for the Sven Golly purchase.
  • Well......as of 20 minutes ago.....I have now been hit with this glitch 11 times over the last 10 months.......another EA phone call....another roll back......

    Yes. When I was first hit with it in June 2017, I did that and was hit again a week later. I have been a total of 10 times. I have done the clearing cache a few times and have not do the rest. I have been re-hit as soon as the second login after a just an hour after a roll back and have as much as 2 months between re-hits.

    the one thing I did do different this time is make sure I keep the game in internal memory and not move it to the mciroSD card. I am only like 10 days since the last roll back, so still too early say I won't be rehit again.

    Well....I can put this theory to rest as false...... this last time I had a roll back, I did the following:
    1. Cleared all cache for TSTO
    2. Uninstalled TSTO
    3. I made an effort to clear several old apps, old movie downloads, etc... to free up 4 GB of space and focused on uninstalled apps that resided in and took up RAM
    4. THEN EA did the rollback
    5. I downloaded and installed a fresh copy of TSTO
    6. I did NOT move it to the SD and kept in internal memory

    It took 15-20 days for me to hit with this glitch again
  • I've already had the glitch, and I notice any time I buy anything using donuts it reoccurs.

    This morning it was ok, but when starting the game after 10am (Norwegian time, that is when a new daily challenge is ready) this happened.

    I found the following information at the start of March this year, I live in the UK. By changing some of the answers In the questions you are asked, you can end up with different results on how you can contact them.

  • I got a strange email today saying "We’re investigating an issue in The Simpsons: Tapped Out". I have an open case that has been opened since December when I first got hit with this glitch. I pretty much gave up with rollbacks and fixes since it keeps coming back. Has anyone else got an email like this recently? This is different than any other email I have gotten from them which is why I am asking. It didn't seem typical.

    I got the same email today. Doesn't say or provide any information or update, just that EA is investigating an issue around losing progress.

    Disappointing to say the least.

  • Same line they have been sharing for over a year. My best guess is deny/delay as first response knowing many will believe it and those that believe it will stop asking them for help so fewer customers they have to fix.

    IGNORE all of EA boiler plate copy and pasted canned answers and demand help and roll back.

    Uninstalling and reinstalling will not help with this glitch.

    Roll Back Game To Last Working Day. Generally speaking EA will resist to restore any donuts / purchased or earned inventory items that you gained between the roll back date and the current day it is done.
    The best way to approach this is to get them roll back your game IMMEDIATELY your game is broken so it is not a big deal of things you might have gained (and will lose) in that last 1-4 days.

    I have checked this case and the Expert team said that you should be all set. This issue is the result of bugged variables, and the studio team have set all of them back to the correct state.
    The Studio has also credited you with 50 donuts for the wait.

    WOW!!!!!! All I can say is WOW!!!!!

    After my game being broken for nearly 4 months. I went through over 15 EA Customer Service (CS) reps. I was denied a roll back until after completing 6 events and by the time they offered to do a roll back they said I collected too many items so they would not restore any of them (even if I paid real world money for many of those items). So my choice was continue to play a broken game or do a roll back 4 months ago and loose all of the Halloween / Thanksgiving / Black Friday / Cyber Monday / Christmas / New Years items I earned while they denied my roll back request.

    I was not going to loose all of the items I paid for with both time and real world money....so after 4 months I refused the roll back if they would not restore my items accrued while they stalled the roll back.

    But today a CS rep emailed that he fixed my game. I was worried he just rolled back my game and I lost all of my items over the last 4 months. .............. But all my items over the last 4 months were there! AND MY GAME NOW WORKS AGAIN!!!!!!

    I can now use the character button to jump to where a character is. I can now use Rail Yard and earn donuts. My IRS wide radius of clearing in a single tap works again. The mini games all work again. So I do not know what he did..........BUT there is a solution that EA has to keep all your current items and design AND Fix A Broken Game with this glitch!!!!!!!!!

    I had bought the Mars colony and had completed upgrading it but it is back to its starting phase and I cannot upgrade it.
