  • @robgriesbe892 .... not for sure, probably cuz if a player has a roll back and then no more problems they probably are not jumping back into the "Bug & Issues" forum.

    But I can tell you that some have gone months and months between their rollback and getting hit again with the glitch (I have heard up to 6 months) .......or you might be hit again in an hour. I can give testimony to both. I have gone 2 months between hits, gone a month between hits, gone a week between hits, gone 1 day between hits (which is what happened to me this last week), and I have been hit within 1 hour after a rollback.

    So basically....get a rollback so you can continue to play the game.....and kneel down and pray EVERY time you log back in so that this is not the next glitch hitting login.

    So true. 90% of the people posting about this probably didnt even know we were here until they got hit. Dont get me wrong, the more the merrier, I just wish it was under better terms B)

  • My glitched game has had the glitch occur several times, starting with the Gil deal. It has generally changed nothing, except one time after I worked my way through the various ended quests my act 2 crafting items had locked up. I had just placed the carriage. So yay, it got worse. I'm playing despite the glitch, I'm not willing to lose progress and I don't see the point of continually trying to get rollbacks. I've had it rolled back twice and the glitch reoccurred within hours both times. Not sure what the future holds for me with the game. It's been over 5 years, I'm not sure I ever imagined it going on for this long.

    Ya, just noticed this, even though I'm done act 2,have all the plunderer Pete's items, they are now locked?!? What a bunch of dumb ****##$

    Great idea! Were not even really complaining to EA on here, pretty much just each other. I would have better luck communicating with EA by shouting out my front door.

  • Like so many others I got hit with the glitch a second time. I've not had any rollback done but kept playing with a broken game.

    I've had enough of this game and enough of EA. Their entire corporate philosophy is broken, and has been for ages, ever since they grew big.

    They destroy every studio they acquire with this philosophy, the micromanagement, the excessive overtime, the disproportionately short deadlines, the restrictions to what employees may do in their spare time, the attitude toward consumers.

    I'm done feeding the beast.

  • @robgriesbe892 ....I don't think so, but I have seen others post that they thought their glitched game got reglitched.

    3rd or 4th time during this event the other day.

    Why is rollback glitch still continues? When 'this' will ever be fixed?

    After ACT 3 started, another glitch has occurred (AGAIN!!), this time I couldn't event craft any single item whatsoever. Wow. Just wow.

    Me too, guys. I was frustrated after that happened.

    In fact, there's nothing we can do about it. **** & moan wouldn't help a situation at this point.

    Well...got hit for the 13th time (and the 3rd time in 3 weeks). The person I got when I called was from India. He had never heard of the glitch. He didn't know what it was, how to fix it, or anything.

    I had to tell HIM what tech support & customer service he needed to do to help me, the customer. After being on hold for 25 minutes with him trying to see the date of the last backup was and roll back my game. He told me he cannot roll back and will escalate to specialist team. When I explained that is false, they can roll it back, but they are ASKING him to escalate. He refused to ask again.

    I hung up and called back in...got an American and had my roll back in under 3 min.

    I did want to share some insight I learned on how to ask for a for roll back from a specific backup file . The American team (and apparently not vendor Customer Service centers like the one in the Philipines) can look at the backups and see some key things....
    1. They can see the level of the broken parts of the game, i.e. if you are level 20 Friend Points (FP) but the back up they are looking at level 1, then that backup has the The Glitch. But if your FP is level 20, it is a safe backup to use. Same for IRS tapping radius level, etc....
    2. They can also see premium items you owned during that backup. So if you know you a premium item 12 hours and 3 logins before you were hit with the glitch and they see that premium item in your backup file

    You put those two items together and you can narrow down the most recent valid backup to restore (after you bought that last premium item and before the broken item levels are at 1.)

    So I didn't even loose a single login with rolling back my game. It remembered my donuts level and my cash level and I simply redid clearing my overnight 12 hour task cycle. So I actually came out ahead as I doubled my overnight case and farming donuts.


    This American guy was VERY helpful and one the most knowledgeable reps about the Glitch I have talked to. I shared I have nearly a year history with the glitch to review. I am on the VERY FEW who actually had my game fixed (not root cause but made playable again) without doing a roll back. I am also very tech savvy. I am not a programmer but my job entails overseeing mobile roll outs of all physical devices as well as software updates. So I am very good troubleshooting, testing, giving detailed feedback, along with potential workable solutions for the programmers to look at. I offered I am willing to help in anyway possible.....only if they take advantage of me and reach out.

    He said he is sending an email outside of the website case files with my info and case #s to someone he knows has contacts deep in the glitch research / development teams. No idea if anything will come of it, but I am willing to help if they will let me.

    What was kinda ironic is I just sat down for lunch and started a Tivo'ed episode of the Simpsons when I was hit with the glitch. While on hold with the first guy for the rolling back my TSTO game I was able to watch the entire Simpsons episode. So if they recorded my call while I was on hold (which is common practice for many companies) they heard me watching the Simpsons while waiting for my Simpsons game to get rolled back.

  • Well...I gave up finally. Been exchanging e-mails for some days and they swear the rollback is done but my game remains exactly the same. My problem was sent to somebody "upstairs" once again but I'm going to uninstall, free up almost 1gb from my phone and keep seeing my girlfriend playing without any problems because she has an iPhone.
    Good luck guys. I'll come back to the game once EA decides to correct a game breaking bug with almost a year.

    ****, my double glitched game is now triple glitched!!?! All act 3 items from plunderer Pete's are locked, nice job EA - what a bunch of as$ hat$
  • Oh well, after my previous glitches on 2018-03-26 and 2018-04-04, I changed my game's configuration by moving it from memory card to internal memory and it didn't strike again. That was until today. I've just had my third strike and will need to give them another call later today to have it rolled back once again.
  • @marczimmer285 ...ya, I have tested this myself and proved it doesn't matter if the game is in internal memory or on the SD card, I was hit again.
  • I called last night for a rollback, they wanted to roll me back a month!?! Once again, tech support knows nothing... They agreed to rollback 24 hours, logged back in, didn't work.

    I'm either going to quit or possibly take the blank new land... Has anyone taken the offer for a new land?

    I know I'm going to lose a ton of special events stuff from the last 5 years, but the glitch is getting worse. I'm locked out of all this event goodies and it's only getting worse...

    I hear Ya, I called within 12 hours, asked to be rolled back to "working" game day before. I didn't want to go back a month, loose everything from this current event...
  • Well...now my latest count is 14 hits. I am gonna wait to call EA until tomorrow morning as that will be when the fix promised by EA will be release.....

    Oh my! @hobbesisreal You are a warrior! I dont know how you do it. My friend got hit yesterday and has been getting jerked around by EA for 2 days now

    At least he wont have to worry about it tommorow morning when the bix fix is released!
