A little off topic but I don't really have a problem getting xp my problem is getting more money since you guys seem to not have a problem with that can yu explain how you guys get more money (I need to buy more land ;)

I have recently run into that problem too, but basically you might just need to make some room for house farming. I have 60 blue houses 55 purple and 155 brown houses and I make quite a bit. Also, try to buy some premium decor that gives you premiuim bonus because it increases the amount of money you intake, if you can afford.

When you are home always keep your characters on 60 min jobs, 8 hours for work/school and 8 hours when you fall asleep.

If you have any premiuim skins like Fruit-Bat-Man or Santa Homer that gives premiuim job intake then keep them on the skin unless you need them for a storyline quest.

    Hope I helped! :)

    I have the same problem..
    The answer is
To farm or not to farm...

I farmed early on, but I also kept to myself - no need to share my shame with neighbors. Then I added a bunch of neighbors for the holiday events, and rid myself of the farm, because money tends to pile up when you're not spending it.

Of course, then they added the megabucks items, and more importantly to XP hoarders, the 3 donuts with every 120,000 XP. Since I have most of the land, I tucked a little (100 - hey, it's debatable) blue house farm in the far corner.

In my opinion, I'd rather not have it there, but I don't feel it's too much of a blight; the rest of my town looks pretty good.

You can make money by constantly sending your characters on short jobs, but for those of us who value our time (ha ha HA - we play this stupid game), house farming is just common sense. Just don't over do it.

In my town my net ratio for the Volleyball Net is $3.50 per 1 xp. This includes the money you get back for selling the Net. This means I would need to spend $420,000 per level and a chance at a max of 3 donuts. I don't know this feels like a lot of money to shell out for "maybe" 3 donuts. But that's just me.

I think that any way I can exchange in game cash for Donuts is pretty great... versus spending real money on this game

Remember that you can always pay $50,000 for another "chance" at three donuts; as long as you have $100,000 standing by, you can always collect three donuts. You just might not need it every time.

Yes, $500,000 is awful steep for just three donuts. But free is free.

I see why house farming is popular. Would take me forever to earn that kind of cash. Not that free for me considering the normal, non-farming, amount of playing it would take me to earn the 500k to burn in the first place.

No doubt about it, it's expensive. You have to be pushing out plenty of money with your town to afford this process. You can build whatever you like, but I prefer to build the items that give me the maximum payout of XP. A little more is still more.

If you do the math you will find out that that the most expensive things don't have the best price/xp ratio

I think that what it comes down to is that ozwald is getting one cycle of income taxes/XP from the orange houses before he tears them down. This will up their XP value and lower their overall cost, although the process will take longer than an instant decoration.

Yessir. You are correct, and I see there's been some math done and that's pretty great for the threads author to see. In short, this works for me and if you have time to freaquent your town more often of course you should. I like 24hr time periods, others may not.
The more frequent a task or build, the more profit. But who has that kind of time?
