All they have to do is give us the sanitation commissioner's office to replace the IRS building. You increase your tap radius through a quest called "can't someone else do it." Non-glitched folks can keep their IRS radius. The program will pick whichever is larger.
Also make a new character finder but put it in the upper right corner and I can choose whichever one works.
I don't care if they fix the mini games. I will miss the trash dump, but if they fix those two things, I will come back.

Actually, it bad variables that is causing the problem. When the database record is updated. The fields are converted to zero or the default. They can determine the IRS radius from the IRS Building level, a field which was not glitched. The character finder just has to be turned on as zero is normally off.

However one your database record is gliched it will return to the zero settings.

Bump this as the latest Google play store update still hasn't solved this bug.

Sorry to hear this. With all the security issues this week, along with the lack of new reports here, I was getting hopeful. Come on EA!

I've had this glitch since the Christmas event - took them 2 weeks in the middle of the event to finally decide to allow me a rollback but at that point I declined since I would lose all of that progress. So I've been patiently waiting for a real fix and playing the game as broken.

This morning I received an email from EA giving me 2 options to pick from:
    1) Roll back to before the glitch occurred and lose all my progress - but they'll give me 50 donuts for each week of lost data. I'll have to stay logged out of the game for 48 hours - "This final step can help prevent it from happening again".

    2) Give me a brand new Springfield - it wont be the same as current but they'll keep my level. They'll replace any donuts Ive bought if I can provide them with receipts.

They'll also give me an additional 100 donuts to get me back up and running..

Then there is this line: "Its possible that this could happen again, but we're doing our best to prevent it."

I want a 3rd choice of keeping my game as is and waiting for a real fix. I do not want to lose 6 months of stuff and all of the items won through the events since December. And I've read enough about the template towns to know I do not want those either..

I’m definitely not implying that you’re wrong to want Option 3 (the “real fix”), but you may be waiting forever for that one.

I realize that the most recent updates have not fixed the games of those affected by the rollback glitch, but have we seen a drop in the number of new cases?

    Certainly seems that way... :/

I am hearing far less new cases, but wonder if it is because of the 'new' way those of us who have had the glitch now play. I have two towns, and used to be in both multiple times a day. During events I would be on 6 to 8 times a day. Between events I designed and placed. Since the glitch, I log in to the start of each event, rush everything to get the act done. I then log in the next day to ensure there will be a good restore copy, then stay out till the next act. Between events I log in once a week if that. I'm not really playing, so I have probably reduced the risk, but I'm not really playing! The fun is going fast. If not for this forum, I would probably not be playing much at all.

I have 4 family members who play this game and over the last 4 years we have bought literally tens of thousands of donuts combined. Not now.

I don't get this business model. Even if the 'fix' is something that eludes them, which I do not believe, why not have customer support all up to speed. " Yes Sir, you are glitched. Hold on the line and we will roll you back" Not a perfect fix but SOMETHING!

EA - Fix the game, or fix customer support. Do something. This has to be costing you sales.

Unsolicited friends requests are all denied. Please PM me.
  • After almost 2 month of my issue being pending they gave me the same 2 offer. I'm not going to take either I want my town and I don't want to loose progress. It's just not worth it
  • So I can have a "template" town that looks like my fake friend neighbor with literally none of the content I've earned over the last few years or I can have 50 donuts a week (after 3 months and 2 rollbacks) which is what, a fifth of what I've earned in that time by myself? Plus I lose all the work and time I've put in? This is getting decide between shooting myself in the foot or the face.

I don't see any point in posting about it. I login less and less often to even play. I don't think they will ever fix it or at least not before I give up on playing completely.

I think we may be talking about different things. You’re talking about re-glitching. I’m wondering about users infected for the very first time.

I,too got the email offering a roll back or template town. I have not played much since the last glitch. I think all I would lose is a little bit of heist stuff. I may take the roll back and donuts. At least I will be able to play again.

Take the roll back NOT a template town. All I've seen is bad reports on that offer. Better to have lost a little than a lot! :#

Has someone been hit the last couple of days? I usally get hit every week (so havn't rolled back because I was sick and tired of it), but I havn't been hit since about 2 weeks now. Got the mail aswell with the 2 options (rollback or new town). But the rollback is useless when they havn't fixed it.
  • For what its worth my friend got hit about a month ago and hasnt had any problems since his rollback. He plays every day.

My fellow tsto fans... I hate to tell you this but there is NO FIX.

Addicts have posted a response from EA today that I suggest you all read...

    www.tstoaddicts.com/2018/05/24/rollback-bug-solution/

You will have to roll back your game. You will be compensated with donuts.

Do NOT get a template town.

Get the roll back now sooner rather than later. A little progress lost is better than losing your entire town. Waiting for a fix just isn't going to happen...

    :/
