... but do I have to rebuild KL? I understand there is an event going on (and I'm slowly moving through it), but overall... do I need to have KL in my town? Would love to hear what you all think (pro + con).

Thanks so much everyone :)

No, you don't have to rebuild KL. I will have it in my town for now. If land or item limit become an issue, then I may remove it. You can also choose to use parts of KL and not others. At least now, you can incorporate other parts of Springfield into KL if you would like.
  • Sure if you want highways

Thanks @meinaz :) I'm already at the item limit (I have been for awhile) and.. overall.. I'm just not a fan of KL.

There are highway pieces in the game now, they cost KL tickets.

    Pro:
    - In order to buy KL decorations and use them in Springfield, you need KL tickets.
    - You need the Krusty Wheel out if you want Penelope in your town.
    - The animations on some of the rides are pretty great.
    - For those who like NPCs, having the KL stuff out will fill your Springfield with more people.
    - Tapping stuff in KL earns XP just like anything else and, for long-time players, that's more important than IGC.
    Con:
    - KL is a land vampire. The nicer you want it to look, the more it grows. For anyone with space, item limit, and/or token issues KL presents a lot of problems.
    - If you're experiencing any lag due to the size and amount of items in your SF, all those animated decorations won't help matters at all.
    - If you built a well-designed, elaborate KL, a complete redesign will be a pain even with group storage.
    - We're already getting a new park with rides and buildings that earn cash and xp instead of tickets and will not double any character's task list with ticket tasks. I&S Land makes KL both redundant and inconvenient by comparison.

Thanks so much for your great reply @TheJuiceLoosener ;) I'm currently experiencing your entire list of cons :/ I agree that KL takes up a lot of valuable real estate. I'm at the decor limit.. and my KL was somewhat elaborate (no desire to recreate it). You really bring up some great points.

I think anyone bumping up against limits will have a difficult time trying to justify a rebuild. It's players like yourself that this change seems to have hit the hardest. I hope you can figure out a solution you can be satisfied with.

No prob. Sadly we still can't place vehicles on them though.
  • I think the only thing you would probably want to place again is Krusty's Giant Wheel for Princess Penelope. Otherwise I don't see the harm in keeping the rest in storage.
  • If you're strapped for open land, placing the I&S gate provides a LARGE section of free land - no tokens needed. And you'll want that space for the race track as you expand it even if you have no interest in building an actual KL or I&SL.

Thanks again ;) I rebuilt KL just enough to complete the Krust-O-Meter but otherwise, I think you've really hit the nail on the head. I'd rather not put so much effort into KL when every step of the way is met with "you've exceeded your limit".

I might eventually find a way to work the highway pieces in because I do like the way they look :)

Ah, you're right.. gotcha! ;) I'll find a place for that. I put out the minimum to complete the Krust O Meter but everything else is staying in inventory. Then, after the event ends, I'll see what else I can store.

Wish they had corner pieces to work with them.
