Conform-O-Meter Info: How to get 5 Star Ratings
Interesting information, I'm too tired to decipher and process it tonight.
Although, I will say....I am not littering my town with 16 restaurants!
I have to count but I don't think I have 28 houses and yet my meter for that doesn't move. It's the stupid gluttony that took a nose dive after this update.

The difference in graffiti is probably made up by cleaning graffiti in other people's towns, you lose 5, gain 1 back, then clean 4 times in neighbors towns to get back the total 5.
Yeah, at least there are a variety of houses to choose from. Only having 2 restaurants available to build when you need THAT many is obnoxious.
That seems logical, but I'd personally discount that theory since I never clean graffiti in neighbors towns and maintain 5 stars. In fact, it's been about 2 weeks since I've visited my friends and I still have 5 star Righteousness. (Yeah, I know, I admit I can be a crap friend...still burned out from VDAY visits, and refreshing for the hopes of many Whacking Day visits.) I would totally be behind that theory if I didn't notice contradicting results based on my own crappy visiting habits.
Honestly, I haven't looked at character tasks to see if any of them effect anything..totally forgot about that aspect....I'm going to check this out now...to the Bee Mobile!!!
I wish EA would add the "Thank You" button to the forum to show appreciation of useful post like this. The number of "Thank You" one accumulate would also be helpful to decide if you should get promoted.
I'm still struggling to make sense of the information on righteousness. If true, what does it say about heretofore expressed beliefs about what constitutes being a good neighbor? The commonly held view has been that a good neighbor vandalizes his or her friend's town. If I understand the post correctly, this view is now called into question.
I am cranky that EA is forcing "gluttony farming." C'mon guys: either provide more restaurants or lower the requirement.
@KyleCollins - For Tree Hugging, Level 26 required 8,215 points and Level 27 requires 9,025 points. You should only need about 800 more points to get back to 5 stars. As an example, the deciduous trees give the following XP: $100 gives 40 points, $220 gives 70, $385 gives, $595 gives 130 points. It shouldn't take that many items to get those 800 points (assuming your now Level 27), around $3,000-$4,000 appears like it should get you to 5 stars.
@Krusty - You're not alone in your struggling to process the info. There has to be a yet uncovered aspect that explains it. We'll do our best to figure it out, but my brain is starting to hurt, so it will have to wait on my end. Hopefully someone else figures it out by the time I wake up tomorrow! lol
@everyone else - thanks for the kind words!
I'll probably add the full points and the decoration values sometime tomorrow, but for the time being....
Level 27 requires 9,025 points for Tree Hugging, and 15,620 for Vanity. There's a little information in the post above this about the points given for the trees; I think all the items that are priced exactly the same give the same # of points (all $100 items give 40 points, all $220 items give 70 points, etc.)
Agreed. Pretty much decided that for now I'll accept the lower rating I'm suddenly getting in this category.
Who knows what actually affects that bar...
Here is how I have decided to approach the problem. My rating craters every 3 days or so. I have to assume others have the same problem. So I am simply going to plow through it. Everyone is going to need to clean. I will continue to vandalize my friends, even if it penalizes me. I clean my own town, and when my rating plummets, I will clean friends' towns as well. I have heard from at least one person with multiple towns that cleaning a friend's town does NOT remove their ability to clean it also. Regardless, I try to balance. If I need to clean in someone else's town, I also try to vandalize. It seems to all work out in the end.
Basically, just try your best, and don't get mad at how other people try. Don't flame each other. EA has made this inscrutable, and all we can do is help each other the best we can.
