To add an image to your post using the Imgur site do the following.

Log into your account at Imgur ( I will assume you have one or can do that, its free and easy )

Use the pulldown beside your account name to access images.

A9FuKIK.jpg?1

You add images by clicking as shown below:

0QycN01.jpg

When you haved the image you want to post, you can click on it in the display of your images ( as above, account name pulldown, images )

oTPHKeO.jpg

When you select it it will open up with links to the right. Select the link shown, for forums, by clicking on the copy key. This will put the link in the clipboard.

aRYzC53.jpg

You then go to the forum, and when creating a post paste ( CTRL P ) the link.

Its done.

Note the right side menu is not available in mobile versions of imgur. If you are only using mobile the address of your image will be in the address bar when you have clicked on it. Same screen that would have the menu. Copy that address, and in your post put the following BB code:

[img][/img] Place your link address between the two sets of bracketed code, yes it has to be square brackets.

I use a mobile to do mine with no imgur account...

    https://imgur.com/upload

    5XdRHod.jpg

Then I simply tap browse and upload a picture from my gallery and then tap on it to get the share links...

I know, but nobody looks there, they just post in a thread. I keep answering so this was my shortcut.

Mods feel free to move if you wish.

The better solution, I feel, is for one of the mods to correct the obsolete info in the already-existing stickied thread. That way, we have something correct and concrete to point to when a newbie asks this question.

For Android i have an app called Imgur Android by Dev Magyver. It will upload to imgur and provide you a url without an acct. Very easy to use of you want to try that

    Thanks for the heads up

  • The imgur app has changed drastically. I’m trying to post my first pic. I think it’s linked correctly, but I couldn’t figure out how to have the pic show up in the thread without the link.

  • That's a good looking town, Rocky. I like that river. With that heavy use of grid street planning and very few trees, I'm wondering if you live in the Midwest, like near Chicago.

I DO live in Illinois, but about 3 hours from Chicago (go a lot though, because family is from there).

I actually follow the SF guide. It takes a lot of work to get the roads just like the map. And I try to put trees where they are located on the map as well (it doesn’t have a ton, which is why mine are sparse).

    Thanks for the compliment!
  • I've flown over Chicago at night. The grid system of streets is really pretty at night from way up when you're only passing by.

  • Its less pretty driving it... but it is easy to get where you need to go.
  • Too much for my slow brain. I wish, like all other social media sites, EA would just include a link to go to your own picture gallery on your iPad like I do, click on the picture, then post it.
  • Just me testing d8k30ueletcj.png
  • OMG.....it works 😄

Having been in a Chicago many times part of the city looks nice at night but some other parts...not so much. I’ve flown out of an airport in Chicago and the city does look nice from above. (Especially at night)
