He may be talking about the people who did the glitch and saved up mystery boxes and Buddhas in their inventory
No. It has to do with buying Buddhas and if you get something you don't want being able to shutdown your game before it registers. Gives you the chance to try over and over till you get something you want.

This works? Has it been tested by anyone? If so how fast do you have to shutdown?
People should just spend time focusing on their own game.
The game is hardly competitive and IMO the best Springfields are those that have clever and well thought out designs, not someone who has spent real money or got to a high level via cheating.
Think of it this way, if you walked into your local supermarket and upon paying for goods you were able to have them for free without the shop doing anything or even caring, why would you pay?

Very fast, you have to start shutting down before you open the Buddha. I haven't managed to do it well on iPad, easy on iPhone though.

Very simple! You have to press and hold the power off button count 1,2,3 and press and buy a homer buddah. If you dont like the prize swipe the power off. If you do hit cancel.
The problem with this is after you dont like the prize you have to wait and power back on and do it again and again until you get a good prize.
The problem with this method is many fold
1. It takes forever to do it and there are allot of ,planters ,white fences and other crap to go through before you get something good also IF you ever even see something good!
2. If you make the slightest miscalculation you spent the donuts and get what you got
3. Doing this to your iDevice cant be good for it constantly power on and off
4. It is a waste of time and effort to do this stupid crap for no reward
If you are a newbie I dont recommend trying this as it takes precise timing. I dont reccomend this for the vets as it is a massive waste of time.
Its a lot easier paying some dude to hack and get u donuts etc....
Probably but I just wanted to see if it worked! It does but again majorly annoying and time consuming. I tried like 6 or 7 times on an extra town I have not my main one and gave up and said F**K this! Not worth the time. I would do this like a bandit if the buddahs had better stuff in them and they removed the crap.

That method has been patched.

I don't think so. You don't need to start a dog race first. Unless the buddas do not give out doughnuts anymore, I think that method still works.
