I wish I could get more friends that only played for a little bit then dropped. Small towns are the best for neighbor tapping. I welcome them as my neighbors!

I drop everyone who spends too much time designing because they obviously judge those of us who are still trying to gather enough donuts to have time to design.

Those towns are also a nice reminder of how your own town used to be. One of my neighbors, who hasn't played for several years I think, had a seemingly MASSIVE town when I first started playing the game. Now when I briefly visit it the town seems so tiny.
I haven't had to delete anyone yet. I'm still not quite sure how everyone else plays, but I play for me; like I don't spend money on donuts, or get mad when people don't visit my town, even though I visit theirs every day. My town is neat, streets are open, not everything just bunched in a heap...😤
I'm actually bummed I made it to lvl 101, all because I took some advice on building houses then selling them after I got the xp. I just need to make more money, not make more levels! But that was my fault. But yeah, back to subject - I haven't deleted anyone yet, but this one town takes ages to load. So much stuff and not enough space! Lol
Over the years I have had to delete all my nieghbors a couple of times to get through glitches in the game. I also Deleted a few that had towns that went from small and humble to huge and extravagant literally overnight. A lot of that was from a glitch exploit and some were probably black market donuts. I have had to grind to get where I am in the game and that instant “success” just irritated me.
I keep a number of inactive nieghbors simply because they can sometimes be the easiest to collect from in certain events. I have deleted a few that were jerks on the forum also. Lol.
Landscaping swastikas, too many hills (an obvious Hillary supporter), and someone was trying too hard in Springfield Heights, forcing me to go back and work on the Heights which was horrible until it occurred to me they could just be unfriended. Some densely packed towns didn't allow visitors to scroll they were so loaded with hoardings, which is the ultimate success story for a hoarder. Right? A couple people just left a full sentence for their girlfriends to read, but it came off as really needy or reaching , to where it got uncomfortable, and if it's still there a month later you kind of get the impression it was a failed attempt, you know? Also, when someone looks like they're really enjoying Duff Garden way too much.
"Also, when someone looks like they're really enjoying Duff Garden way too much" what does that mean? 😂
Inactivity is the only reason, and I've not done THAT in a long time. Even inactive neighbors get the event currency in their towns, so it's not important to me if they're dormant.
Back in the days when you could get event rewards from every neighbor, activity mattered.
Now neighbor visits mean almost nothing to me. I only bother if I'm close to a prize and want to get over the hump right away or if a daily challenge sends me there.
EA really devalued neighbor visits over time, and I don't know why.
Absolutely nothing. Several years ago EA decided to make the social aspect pointless. There's no reason to add or delete people unless you need room for someone irl or on here. It's still fun to visit to how people design though.
If I had all the time in the world I'd redesign my town as an exact replica of a friend's town, just to mess with them when they visited.
Years ago there was a thread about someone who did something like that. Not the entire town but sections of it. I wish I could find the thread because it was pretty crazy.

Omg funny you should say that. I have a neighbour who copied my town inch by inch. I saw him copy A few things at first so didn’t think much of it, that’s fine. I was kinda flattered, means mine must look good right?... Then one day I went to check and he had nuked his town and was copying every single bit!
More fool him though, I hit the item limit a while ago and changed some stuff up. He hasnt touched his designs since just dumps new content. I can’t bring myself to delete him as I’m too intrigued to see if he’ll copy my new layout
I’m moving and tweaking stuff wayyyy too often to be able to copy my town anyway

A person's religion , political leanings , race or gender mean nothing.
Oh my goodness, I never thought of that!!
