Haunted Crossroads still locked?

Act 2 is up and running. The Holy Forge crafting shows the Huge Tree and Big Bone are both unlocked, but right between them is the Haunted Crossroads with a padlock on it.

What's it take to unlock this?

You have to earn it at the dig site before it u locks in crafting.

Crossroads is the first prize in the main quest line. Unlock it there adn you will be able to craft more of them.

Ah, I understand. I don't remember previous events doing this, but I've only been playing the game since last year.

They have done it before. But i think it didn't show up in the crafting menu untill you unlocked it from the quest line. I think they did that in Homerpaloza.

I don't believe that they do. They seem quite useless to me unless anyone has any ideas.

My Haunted Crossroads has relocked itself somehow as well.. I am not happy.. I definitely want more than one of these.. I tried contacting EA, they were less than helpful.. flat out awful customer service.

Believe it or not, awful would be an improvement over what has been their standard of awfulness

seems like they're meant to go in the middle of a cobblestone intersection... gotta remove the middle tile to place the crossroad though. like so:
