I work in an architectural office as a project manager/admin manager/systems and process manager. Lots of slashes, not lots of money though.
My partner also plays, he is now retired but he used to be an automotive engineer and worked in R & D. He's a great handy man and fixes EVERYTHING around the house and invents stuff all the time. Once an engineer, always an engineer....
Good on ya mate, we need more volunteer fire fighters I've considered doing it myself or the ses but working 6 days a week and kids, no time unfortunately would if I was a single bloke.
Well thanks for that and I agree. Can't really have too many firefighters.
But can tell you I 50-60 hours a week, have wife, two girls, 6 cats, 1 dog, garden that's about to be planted in a couple weeks and still answer a few calls now and then . Helps we live out in the country so small community. We might get 5 to 10 calls a week depending on season and rarely half the guys show for one. Some work first and some second shifts at regular jobs so all times of day are covered. I know the risks and sometimes spending free time at station or the four weeks of nighttime rookie school were rough but its worth it for what my girls think if nothing else
At the moment, i work part time delivering shopping for a local supermarket. But i graduated last year from uni so i am looking for a full time job although no one wants me thus far =(
Research and development freakin awesome job as you can tell iam a car nut what and awesome job
I was freelance R&D. The first electronic map senses (air flow senses) - that was me. Back in those days, I started with medical senses because the automotive ones not around that time. Me and my R&D electronics engineer partner also developed the concept behind the automotive sensors which allows the cars to drive by themselves. That was all a lifetime ago, I'm guessing before you we're born.
Im an electrician and comercial kitchen fitter. Ah architects the bane of my life. Hope you havent design any jobs ive worked on else i mite have wished horrible things on you lol

Only 30 years old.
