The Prestige (2006). A drama thriller with a stellar cast and a great director. I got a strange feeling seeing all the key actors as they all appeared in superheroes film. This is a good watch

Triple Threat(2019) An action flick that brought together a bunch of martial arts actors including the guy from The Raid, Man of Taiji and Tony Jaa. The Thai lady from Chocolate is in it too. Tony and Iko were given laughable cameos role in Hollywood films and I am glad that this film allows them to shine again. The fighting sequences are good though the plot can be improved. Dialogues are a strange mixed of Mandarin, Indonesian and English. A good film just for the fighting sequences.

Man's First Friend (2018). A documentary that provides a primer of how dogs evolved to what they are today through a few short stories that spanned across time and continent. Quite a nice watch. Makes me see that dogs are such amazing animals. Too bad I don't have one.

Alpha(2018). Watching this film is like watching one of the stories in the documentary Man's First Friend but extended into a feature length film. A simple nice watch. I can't really tell when the dog is real or CGI. They used a newly invented tribal language for the film

The Great Battle (2018) A period film about a Korean city under siege from a gigantic Tang Dynasty army. A good watch with great epic battle scenes.

Just went to see US, the new suspense movie.

I'll give it a "meh". Too much unexplained and jerky stuff, it's like they want you to yell and throw popcorn at the screen. Irritating
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!

Fist of Fury (1991). A HK film with Stephen Chow in the lead role. The film paid some homage to Bruce Lee film of the same title. This is a comedy. He plays a character with a very powerful right fist. Almost like the iron fist of Marvel. This is a rewatch for me. This film is also in the same universe of God of Gamblers.

Fist of Fury 1991 2 (1992). A HK sequel to the first film in 1991. A comedy headed by Stephen Chow. It has some continuity errors. I feel it was not as good as the first one. A rewatch for me though I have very vague memories of this film.

The God of Cookery (1996). A comedy HK film starring Stephen Chow with cooking competition as it's theme. A good watch. The female lead in this film is Karen Mok. Not exactly a beauty but charming. Also a rewatch.

Triple Frontier (2019). Stellar cast and good acting. Actions are underwhelming though but still a good drama to catch on the small screen

All for the Winner (1990). The direct translation of this HK film is Saint of Gamblers. It is a spin off film from God of Gamblers (1989). This comedy film propelled Stephen Chow into cinematic stardom. He played a mainland Chinese arriving in HK with superpowers which he later used in gambling. This is a very famous classic HK film and a rewatch for me

God of Gamblers (1989). A classic HK film with Chow Yun Fat, Andy Lau and Joey Wong that kicked start a series of gambling related films during that era. Good acting from Chow Yun Fat. A rewatch for me.

God of Gamblers 2 (1990). If translated from Chinese title, the English title is Knight of Gamblers. This HK comedy features the disciple of the God of Gamblers and the Saint of Gamblers from the film All for the Winner. I have vague memories of this film but I should have watched it before. Typical funny HK film from that era. Nice to see Andy Lau and Stephen Chow acting together. Chow Yun Fat did not act in this film. Just old footages of him.

The Highwaymen (2019). Good production set and acting. I did take the highway to slumberland a couple of times watching this. This is more of a drama than a thriller.

God of Gamblers III: Back to Shanghai (1991). Oddly, the Chinese title of this HK film is Knight of Gamblers 2, but Andy Lau, the Knight of Gamblers is not in the film. The God of Gamblers, Chow Yun Fat, is also not in the film. This film is about the Saint of Gamblers, the character from All from the Winner. In this film, the universe of Stephen Chow is intertwined with that from The Bund. The Bund is a gangster drama set in old Shanghai which propelled Chow Yun Fat into stardom. I have just watched this film not long ago. This might be a repeated film post. This film is also set in the universe of Fight back to school.

The Stephen Chow's girl in this film is Gong Li. All Stephen Chow's comedies are all very watchable with rewatching value.

The Return of the God of Gamblers (1994). This is the real sequel where Chow Yun Fat really returns. The Chinese title is just God of Gamblers 2. Chow Yun Fat is joined by another leading man Tony Leung Ka Fai. The tone of this film is more action than comedy and we get to see Chow playing with guns again. A rewatch for me. The goddess in this film is Chingmy Yau. Chien-Lien Wu also acts in it.

The Domestics (2018) Set in a dystopian time, this film has some good action scenes interspersed with some slow drama. Overall still a decent film. Superman from Supergirl series plays the lead role.
