Is TSTO dead?

Prev1345678
Hello dear EA team,

please give us a sign if you are still developing The Simpsons Tapped Out or if you will let the game die. Many people in the community are worried about a near end.

Thanks, 2pluss

    Is TSTO dead?

    No.
Be a part of another EA endorsed TSTO fan site at www.tapped-out.co.uk :)
  • Indeed, that would be nice of you. Even if we'll probably be fixed by next wednesday if there's still no update.
  • @0Brooders0 I hope so...
  • Its still alive no worries just giving us a break

  • @2pluss This game will never end at all. Just EA taking a break and they have done a 2 week break straight before years ago.
Do not add me as a friend in the game anymore as I rarely visit my friends' towns. Not adding anymore too
  • @jaythecanadian Your words in EAs ears. I'm fine with the break. But the last months seem to be a closing sale.
  • Wow, Ive almost seen more of these "the sky is falling" threads in the last 2 weeks then the first 7 years combined. People have no patience anymore.

PS. You guys would have hated the early days of the game when there could be weeks, if not a month or so between levels/events
I do not accept unsolicited friend requests! PM me and say hi first.
  • Remember when EA had monopoly? Well, they let it die by not providing updates and after a few months they said the server is shutting down.

I'm guessing that they forgot about it or changed their mind about it.

The more breaks EA gives us, the longer they can stretch out their content, the longer the game goes on. Taking a break is a good think. Slow down.

  • It nice to be able to accumulate my donuts back up again, living off nothing for ages while i was completing the box, now that done i can save up
  • Why do people keep insist that TSTO is dead because of a somewhat long lull period?

Do something more constructive with your time, like making your town look nicer than trying to be that guy on the corner of the intersection screaming at the top of their lungs that the world's going to end soon.
Trying to control the horizontal & the vertical. Do not adjust your TV.

A lot of people don't know what a break means nowadays.

  • I play TSTO from the beginning. In the last months (or years) it has definitely become monotonous. Nobody can seriously deny that EA invests less and less in the game.

And do not worry, I use my time pretty well.
  • Considering the game has been going on for about 6 years or so, there is are bound to be times when the game hits the skids.

We haven't had a true "major" event since THOH 2018, the Multi Events I don't count as major ones.

But, this downtime has given a lot of players the ability to reclaim the lost capital they spent in the Yearbook Mystery Box.

Considering the deep reservoir of ideas the Simpsons has had over the past 3 decades, the game can still live, survive, and thrive for a few more years.

There's still a dedicated playerbase and community for this game.

And if EA decided to pull the plug, don't 'cha think they'd have already come forward and say something?

  • As I wrote, I have no problem with the break. I've opened the threat because I‘m hearing more and more people worrying. This happens every year, I know. But this year it feels more realistic.

I have never heard that EA had commented on TSTO. You? But I can well imagine that Homer would announce the end of the game by himself. ;)

You were putting the question to EA which is fair enough, but there’s a community of regulars here who find the subject tiresome.

All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!
