Edit: 2nd Gen Kindle Fire Players - any luck getting the update? Edit: We can't get it.

I am playing on an old Kindle Fire and can't find the update in the Kindle store. I can't even find the game at all in the store, so I'm afraid to delete the game off of my device. I have done the basics, turning it off and back on, visiting my neighbors, etc. And while the new icon shows, I can't get the update.

I'm on an old Kindle and having the same problem. The game isn't in app store. I went through the app management section where it has listed all the most recent updates. I tapped on the tsto icon and it actually takes me to tsto page from the store but it just says "open", not update

I had the same problem on my iPhone (ipad was fine). When I found the game in my app store and it just still said "open", even after device reset, etc. I tapped on the app (not the open) for the actual page, and then it changed to update. Maybe that will work for you.

@GrowlyOne ...Thanks for the tip...I gave it a try and unfortunately it didn't work. Must just be just a kindle issue right now

Same here. The icon changed but when I launch the game the update doesn’t start. Using 2nd generation kindle fire and the game doesn’t exist in the App Store. Thinking they didn’t make an update for the kindle.

I'm playing on a kindle fire. Yesterday went to app updates, there it was.
All good now.

I got the update with no problem and yes, I'm on an old KF too. It's possible you have too much stuff on you Fire. Try deleting (completely) some items or apps you don't use and see if that helps. Good luck!

I finally got a update alert when trying to log in that said if the game isn't in the store you need to clear your cache. I did that and still not available. So I guess I will try deleting some apps tonight and see if it will clear enough room for the update to appear. Space has never been an issue for me before and I haven't added any new apps at all so I'm not sure why this is a problem now.

I have 12.9GB of space available. The game just isn't in my app store anymore. I don't know why. And today I can't even get into the game. I get the there's an update want want want box, that tells me to clear my app store cache. I have cleared every cache I can find and nada. I contacted EA and they can't help. They said to try uninstalling and reinstalling but that did nothing. This sucks.

Well that stinks. I don't want to delete stuff if it isn't going to help. I might try uninstalling and reinstall instead.

I just go into my installed applications tab and clear the cache manually on everything.

Bad news for anyone following. The 3rd EA person I spoke to suggested contacting Amazon for help. And a very patient Amazon tech ran me though every trouble shooting trick he could think of and it's looking like my 2nd Generation Kindle will no longer support the newer Tapped Out updates which is why it no longer appears in my app store. So even though I have a ton of space and memory left on my device, the softwear is no longer being updated on my older model.

I'm sad because this will be the first day since Sept 25 2013 that I won't be playing the game at all.
