Guts of War Statue bug?

I got the prize yesterday, placed it and noticed that when its facing towards the ocean the green squares (not sure on the actual name of them) it takes up doesn't move with it. In other words, the 3x2 squares it takes up doesn't move when it gets rotated. Does anyone else have this bug?

After reading your post, I had a look in my town and yes, it takes up the same space regardless of the direction it faces.

Thanks Muhsterino for replying. Glad I wasn't the only one with this bug. Do you think it will get fixed when the event ends or even before it?

My guess would be neither, it may even take months to fix. It took them many, many months to provide a fix for the tailgate and stages animations.
