I don't have the exact number...but if I do some math with the percentages, I'd say I bought between 2,150 and 2,200 give or take.
I lined them up, back to back, and I bought enough to fill four rows from the sea (of what I think of as the bottom left of my city) all the way as far as I can go to what I consider the bottom right.
As I mentioned earlier in the thread....I started that morning out at 555%, and am now sitting at over 8545% due to the wailing walls. It has completely changed my entire gaming experience. I'll probably play with them out until I hit the cash cap, and have more donuts than I can spend, then will store them away.
One thing I didn't account for, however, was how LOOOOONNNGGGGG it takes to harvest them every 12 hours. It takes forever to suck up all those bills and XP icons. Is there a faster way to do it? Like, tap them, then visit friends and back and they will all be collected and accounted for? Or anything other than just watching them fly across my screen for well over 45 minutes?
I'll probably do what you suggested - once reached max cash cap/mega donuts - will store them as well - I don't think that counts towards total items, does it?
THIS is why I created this thread with the details in the title so everybody can jump on it and grab as many wailing walls as possible before EA puts a stop to it. No beating around the bush, no need to talk in code, just a race between you and EA to exploit their incompetence until they put a stop to it. If only EA can put as much urgency to fixing the disconnection issues that trigger the Bart screen as they did to stop people from buying wailing walls with in game cash.......
THANK YOU for creating the thread. I understand that many folks here are upset, but as someone already mentioned the glitch story went public on reddit, and in my opinion there's, like, a 100% chance they would have found it anyway within another few minutes.
BTW, it might be helpful if you altered your thread title to indicate that the glitch has now been patched.
Agree with above post.
Did not get as many as I wanted before the patch, but had I not seen your thread would have got NONE!
Again thank you.
I saw the post just in time to boost all 5 of my games up to 3000%. I was going to go back to each to boost more, but they fixed the glitch. Nonetheless it’s so much easier to keep up all five towns with the higher percentage that I’ll be able to afford God in time for each one
I can't describe how jealous I am, haha.
sigh I don't pay attention for one day and I lose out on the best deal in the game's history
This isn’t the first time it’s happened with the wailing walls, and a while back there was the tennis court bonanza. Bummer to miss out this time round, but as long as the game carries on there’ll be other opportunities.
I built up my multiplier the long, hard way - being able to do it quick and cheap would’ve been awesome. But what I really need to maintain my interest in the game is an increased item limit. There are a few decorations I’m interested in this event, but I can’t place any of it.

Here is a picture of where I put the walls in my town. They are all along what I consider to be the bottom of my town. As you can see, if I wanted to get crazy, I have tons of space where I could have put more. Heck, I'm still collecting from the Realty my land tokens, as I've yet to unlock all available land. Once I get all the land unlocked, then I'll start taking my time and making things look nice.
Depending on where my XP bar is at any given time, a single rat trap truck gives me between 21 and 24 donuts. Its crazy.
For sure!
And there is the added benefit of their 12h cash reward. Meaning that I could have taken down my house farms, replacing just a quarter of their area with the WW, freeing up so much land.
It's apparent in your pretty looking town, plenty of free space for future land projects, precisely because you don't need to have a house farm.
I'm fine with my farm of tennis courts but as an endgame challenge, I like pushing my bonus. I don't even collect cash or xp anymore because opening donut boxes is annoying, I just like increasing the bonus for fun.

I saw a big difference in performance last year when I got a new phone.
Went from iPhone 6 with 64GB storage to an iPhone X with 256GB.
Back then, I think I only had like a 1500% multiplier, but it still took forever to collect.
Now on the iPhone X with a 4000+% multiplier, it takes about 1/2 the time it took then for much more money/XP!
