Mystery Box Value - Best Cost Efficiency

Prev1
I created this thread for future use. When questions arise such as "what is the best way to build my multiplier".
epuygznheo79.jpg
I did a run of 800 donuts excluding donuts gained from the mystery box. Here are my results. 105% with 37 Vans and 31 Billboards. Some will refute and say Jet Engine Bikes are the best from the vault. However you will be spending 1000 donuts for 50 items of 100%. And I spent 798 donuts (excluding donuts gained in MB') for 68 items and 105%.
This is why I believe Mystery Boxes are the best donut value if you are strictly trying to build your multiplier. Now my results are not a everytime occurance. I made a very good outcome. Below is the chart of the possible Mystery Box outcome.

I hope this helps you in your purchase decisions. It is intended to show the BEST value within the game for boosting your multiplier.

  • Can you also compare the time spent buying 50 jet bikes with the time spent opening 100 mystery boxes?
  • Jet bikes are quicker, yes. But this thread is not for people that already have a beefed up multiplier. People that are still buying donuts would choose value over time.

  • This is very detailed and very informative. I appreciate you taking the time to not only conduct the experiment, but to fully explain your results. Thank you so much
  • Vans 2%
    Billboards 1%

Average intake is 100% after 800 donuts depleted and not counting the bonus Mystery Box donuts.

  • Re: @stinkbugger 's comment: if you turn off confirm donut spend and wait to place the news vans and billboards until you finish buying it goes fast! 3 taps per round. (hamer&saw) (MB)(Collect) repeat.
@simpsonare do you find @girl22721 's chart accurate? I do get those patterns a lot of the time but I also many other variants. And I don't think I ever got the full ABABACD... patterns.
Whoa, whoa, whoa – I only accept cash, bitcoin, or GameStop stock.
  • @simpsonare great thread! Nice job
I do not accept unsolicited friend requests! PM me and say hi first.
  • I didn't look at the chart before doing the test. But I knew it was out there and found it afterward. I'm not sure if it does that letter pattern but the varient of items is pretty accurate.

  • My mystery boxes always followed one of the patterns on the chart.
  • Thanks @daved7637397
I wanted to create and star a thread that I thought would be beneficial for newer players.

Well I think you succeeded! I knew they followed a pattern, I never thought it was so complicated though, but I never paid much attention either...

Here is a more accurate chart for the mystery box sequence. I purchased 170 mystery boxes and noticed that the sequence was not matching the graphic posted above almost immediately. The donuts gained were occuring after the News Van everytime and not Chalmers Onda. The sequences I had matched this one created by another player, Charles, exactly. There are 5 patterns and each pattern has slight variations, according to the creator of this chart, Orthrix. https://flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/39779235162/

  • Howdy neighbours. I am not sure if anyone is still following this thread but....I am really trying to increase my % bonus by going for the best value of mystery boxes. I have seen the repeating sequences above (both). However I have just got the pond then Lard lads, Pond, Onda then another pond!!! WT flip is happening? After the onda I definitely should have seen 10 or 30 doughnuts then the news van and billboard. It is obvs a massive waste of hard grind if I am not being given the % increase. Does anyone think trees are OK value for doughnuts?
  • Hey @loopyloo84 the mystery boxes are still the cheapest way to increase your bonus even if the sequence is weirded up.
Trees are not of much value except for making your town look nice.
Here is the chart @osemandy posted above. Seems to me to be more inline with what I get. Wish I knew what the rest of the chart is all about.

  • Hi @frosted1414 . I looked at that chart also. I know what you mean about all the other stuff! I have since had 3 more boxes which was a shelter, 10 doughnuts and another shelter!!!!! Still no billboards and vans and still following no sequence. That's 8 boxes of nonsense in a row :( By the trees I meant the few that add XP bonus. At the mo there is a tentacle one for 18 doughnuts but I think the apple tree is 20. At least if you save for a tree you are guaranteed XP.
  • That's why I don't go for MB's and my bonus isn't as high as it could be and I save the donuts for something that I want.
It does feel like I'm playing the game wrong at times though when I read posts about high bonus percentages.
I wanted to do it yesterday but I will invariably do it tomorrow (ish).
  • @loopyloo84 buy the trees because you want them not for bonus.

What you have to remember is that many of us with high multiplier levels have been playing for many years and have huge cash reserves and nothing to sped it on apart from plowing it back into the game to create donuts etc, although i must admit that in recent years it has become much easier to build the multiplier levels in the game withe the advent of Kwik-E-Mart farming and the use of the XP collider.

Took me a long time to bother with MBs and I wish I’d done it sooner. Now my problem is not having enough content to spend donuts on.

I got my high bonus percentages from Mystery Boxes. I spent all my donuts on them!
