Time for event

There should be more time to complete the Black History event. The 12th is too soon for how long the quests have been.

  • Welcome to the forum.
You're the first person I seen to say that there should be more time for this event.

Focus on getting to part 5 of From the Mouth of Abes (act 4 questline), In the Lukewarm of the Twilight (act 3 questline), Fair-Weather Father (act 2 questline) and No Laughing Matter (act 1 questline) so that you begin working on the character and once the event is over you can still work on getting the characters.

I think all of us saying the event is too long have the luxury of rushing through the acts. If I had to get through the acts by waiting out 4hr character tasks I reckon I'd give up on the game altogether. The last act in particular... lamest prizes ever.

I don’t rush at all and I get through just fine

    I don't rush but the Part 5's of the first 3 Act's have only been started, 40 / 35 / 90, respectively.
Don't make it longer, just make smaller amounts to be collected.
I wanted to do it yesterday but I will invariably do it tomorrow (ish).

Same here. I could tell they made the event much longer and came here for advice. I used my precious few donuts to finish off each task (like the splitting into two buildings idea, but I'm lazy and also wanted to boost my progress).

I also played much more religiously than usual.

At this rate I still won't finish in time.

Not sure what this means or if I can still take advantage of it in time. The unfinished tasks stick around after the deadline? If so this will only save me like one day of grinding, I've got roughly two hundred police badges to get and then I can do wheelcakes. If I understood you correctly I'll move onto wheelcakes immediately but I wish I read this sooner lol

Sorry if I didn't make it clear but what I meant was get to at part 5 of each of the acts main questline so once you unlock the token, don't start working on unlocking the final prize until after the event is over since these types of events allow you to finish off the current prize you are working on after the event ends.

The unfinished part of the main questline(s) you are working on stays in your task book after the 12th until you actually complete it and unlock that prize. It saves about 2 days of grinding since 475 is the required amount for each of all 4 final prizes (Clarissa Wellington in act 1, Abraham Simpson I in act 2, Bully Boss in act 3 and Virgil Simpson in act 4). If you're about 200 police badges away from unlocking Bully Boss then you can focus on the wheel cakes.

If you don't think you can get all the prizes just focus on one set that you like the look of most.

Came to this forum for this reason. I don’t spend money or use donuts and never have much of an issue completing events in time. I’ve been logging in more for this one to try and do it all, but this is just crazy and the time is just not realistic, which is what I believe is their agenda to get you to buy donuts.

Thank you for the clarification torin.

Yes this update seems to cater to the established fanbase, knowing the above trick will help me next time tho. I don't think the game should depend on hidden tricks like that tho.

I agree Belo, the premium characters used to seem optional and now we pretty much have to buy one to get through the whole quest line.

You don't have to get Part 5 started to be able to finish it later, you just have to finish Part 4.

I believe, when Part 5 is open, it is classed as started so you don't have to send people in.
In most cases, I was lucky enough to get Part 4 finished before the next Act started, so I could work towards Part 5 with no distractions; but once the next Act started I left the previous one alone.

On one of them, I could have put them back in, but I was about 2 or 3 hours away and I didn't want an overrun of 1 or 2 hours.
Especially as Part 5 was adequately started anyway.
I wanted to do it yesterday but I will invariably do it tomorrow (ish).

    NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooo............

The last one was pants, over here that means underwear, in America it means trousers, which would have a different meaning I presume.

  • As a tsto player for as long as i can remember this event is the first one i won't complete on time. Anyone saying it is easily done either hasn't slept or rushed with donuts!

It would take me i reckon another 4 days if not more to finish from the 12th
  • You still get to sleep in fact you can have eight hours.

You just need to put your characters on before you start the sleep. Have four hours complete the jobs about 2am all blearly eyed and have four more hours sleep before collecting again in the moring.
  • Thank you! I swear the game designers said, “you said why you’ve hated the recent events and we listened.... by keeping everything you hate and making it next to impossible to complete!” I got behind in the beginning because it required an update that refused to load (so many Bart screens!) since I was two days behind it has been impossible to catch up even with all the regular characters and an extra premium one. I’m guessing if you don’t have all the characters there’s absolutely no way to finish.

Only need 1% to bite for them to make money.

Shouldn't you be using that money on buying Toilet Paper anyway?

After a decade, How long has this game been running?
If you Miss, So What? It will come up again, or like 99% of people, never play again.

Don't spend real money on this game.

In the beginning of playing this game there were a lot of events that I never completed because I was working a lot more, but I have more time now, even managing every 4 hours for most of this event, but I will only get Act 4 token in about 2 hours.

Then I have the rest of the event and afterwards to concentrate on all 4 final Parts.

And I bought Mabel a couple of days ago because I wanted the waterfall, if I didn't I would be even further behind.

And I've been waking up in the early hours to do it again.
