It's now just a permanent texture glitch in my town.

  • Mine's been replaced with frames of people walking.
Glad to see I'm not the only one who's has this glitch.

Same here the building has been replaced with various “frozen” duplicate of characters.
  • It must have something to do with Wall E. Weasel coming in the event. Hopefully that means he has a permanent task at Wall E. Weasel's. There should be a patch released to fix this, the freezes and sound issues in the game from this event.

Turn the building to face the ocean and it reverts to normal. We had the same problem with the Gypsy Fortune Teller Shop a while back.
What part of "unsolicited friend requests are all denied" do you NOT get?

It doesn't allow the building to be moved or grabbed.

I retract my statement. If your building is facing towards the ocean, you can highlight and turn it or move it. However if you leave it in the glitched position and click the check mark, you won't be able to grab or move it again. My mistake.

There will be a patch....but i did find a way to re grab the building. Just use the grab all tool and do a wide grab near the bottom of the graphic. It grabbed it and I could turn and move it again.

Thanks! I was able to turn mine in all 3 games and make them visible. Of course now they look silly because they're turned the wrong way in relation to the street...
  • This looks like the head of the new Wall E. Weasel floating where the building used to be.

That's a very insensitive picture, not all Yakuza members look alike, I am deeply offended for them. (Hopefully no one takes this seriously and realizes it's sarcasm)

    Side note:
Glad I'm not the only one affected, not glad anyone is affected period.....but if it only happens to a handful of people the problem is far more severe, let's hope for a speedy patch.

Like I said before, the same thing happened to the Gypsy Fortune Teller's Shop a while back, and they had to release a patch for it later on during the event. It affects all users. You only see it if your Wall E. Weasel's is not facing the ocean.

I did read, originally I was thinking it was a minor glitch until I couldn't find my Wall E Weasle's. Eventually Two and Two added to five, as in the five glitchy tiles replacing my old building.
To repeat, I'm glad I'm not the only one affected, smaller groups tend to mean bigger problems and slower fixes.

I've had occasions pop up when a small group of users and myself became affected by glitches and required rollbacks, or other solutions besides the obvious uninstall-reinstall, in one occasion I couldn't log in or get past the loading screen.

When glitches affect less users EA seems to notice far less quickly, when the glitch is not beneficial to players (more donuts, or higher percentage bonuses, etc.)
    EA is slow to react.

If this glitch had involved players receiving free donuts from a malfunction, you can bet your bottom donut it would be patched by now.

I'll keep my building where it's at, it's part of a little district I want to keep as is, I'll wait for a patch.

My only fear, was that this visual glitch was a symptom of a larger more menacing glitch, perhaps even "the dreaded glitch".

Thank you to everyone on the Forums for the information, I'm definitely far less worried.... As being affected by...."the glitch" can mean a swift end to your game. (Especially with no updates on a patch for that issue in the last couple years.)

Thank you all for the insight and temp solution. It's actually forcing me to redesign it in a way I think I'll like better. Go figure 🤔

  • I have the same issue, hopefully a fix is on the way!

  • I got mine back, I had it face the ocean for a while, then I turned it and it was back.
Is it back for anyone else?
