I have the same issue... stuck at 73490 XP after launching app again.

mine's doing the same, except I'm only at 1k or so. It makes me not want to bother logging on because I'm just wasting the XP.

Same issue on my markusroth299 account. The XP keeps resetting to 97907 every time I leave and come back to the ap on my ipad. Everything else seems to be working fine. I have updated to the the new whacking day version 4.2.0 32813661072985794793476502831897440079.

The XP I get from visiting friends towns stays. Just the XP from my town and tasks are lost when I leave the app and come back. Please help.

Same here. I always start at 101237 and the goal is 606168.

I'm having the same problem. Just upgraded, and the new XP level to achieve reset to 872,881. I just figured it would take me a while. All worked well for about 20 hours, then when I logged in, XP had dropped from about 125,000 to 96,027. I logged in and out a couple of times, earned a few thousand more XP, and now each time I leave, when I come back the XP resets to 96,027. The 872,881 target has remained the same. What to do?

Same here. XPs are not synced back to the server and are reset every single time you log on.

BTW : I think they set the XP goal to 10 million to prevent harp of death till they fixed it.

Happening to me too. Always resets to 108603 every time I leave the game or go to another Springfield and come back. And the amount to level up jumped from 120000 to 232297.

I'd say I've lost 35000 XP since this Whacking Day update. If it's not fixed soon, it'll be time to go back to EA and ask for another refund.

same issue, happened right after the update and resets every time i log back in or come back from another springfield it resets to 58547, i believe thats what i had when i installed the update

I posted this in the general discussion forums as well, under the xp resets poll. I thought I should post it here as well, to let all of you know what is more than likely going on here -- and to let EA know we know what they're up to...

Voted yes, as this is happening to me. Money accumulates, xp does not. Resets to 58,880-ish each time. Xp to next level changed from 120,000 (before update) to 169,000-ish (after update).

Anyone else get an unusual feeling when this glitch just so happens to occur at almost every update? Seems mighty suspicious, if you ask me.

And yes, I am insinuating that it could possibly be intentional.

Why? Well, because EA's excuse is "oh sorry, we were updating, and sometimes things happen! har har," and yet it *keeps* happening? Each and every time? Peculiar.

If we ended up getting it all back after they addressed the issue, it's no big deal. But we don't (I haven't, at least).

And no, this isn't an "entitlement waaaaah-fest," this is a legitimate issue for players, because it means the fewer times people can level up, the less times EA will have to shell out 1 to 3 free donuts to us (if you're a lvl27-er, at least). This is obviously the goal -- if it's intentional. And in the unlikely event that this actually IS unintentional, I doubt they're very disappointed with the effects, and therefore more than likely make it last thing (or at least *one of* the last things) on their list of "things to [re]fix."

And if you decide to not let them screw you over, and choose to just wait it out until it's fixed... they still get what they want (and more!), as you are missing out on xp you otherwise would have been getting -- and in this case, the money, too.

Quite a convenient glitch for EA to have happen "by chance," time and time again... wouldn't you say?

same here (I am at level 27 ans was playing the bonus levels)
after updating to new version I noticed two bugs
1)
the xp was re-set to 64.631 after every new log-on and xp to next level has been set from 120.000 to 169.171
I tried to do many actions in different ranges in order to get the xp points booked somehow
but I only got the 25 xp points after visiting friends' springfields
so I could update my xp only by doing these 25 points steps and I am at 64.756 now after 5 visits
the money seems to be updated correctly
2)
riding the bicycle with Mr. Burns does not work
after a while they suddenly stop, jump off the bike and continue walking normally

hope that gets fixed soon cause I want to earn XP points from built houses
lost about 20.000 since game update so far

Same problem here...

Before the update I had 114000 and the goal Was 120000.
Now the goal is 169000 and it always resets to 114000.

I was so close getting those donuts T.T

I guess under the "misery appreciates company" theory, it's good to know I'm not the only one with this problem. Never posted on the Forum before, so I'm not sure, and I hate to be impatient, but does EA actually read these, and offer a solution, or is this just a venting exercise? Is there a "contact customer service" way to look into this? I hope it's similar to the "problem" that happened a few months ago when I had maxed out the XP after getting level 23 (I think, whatever the top was at the time), before there were the bonus levels, and I was then accumulating $ but not XP, and with the next update, when a new level was introduced, the "missing" XP that I though hadn't been counted magically appeared as progress towards the new level. I think that happened two or three times. Just curious. I really like the game, but much of the challenge is useless if you can't keep the XP you're earning.

I can confirm that the xp reset is happening to me I went from bonus levels to level 27 with 10 million xp needed to finish level xp resets every time I load the game at least, lost close to 200K XP this way...

Happened to me as well. I play on iPhone 4, iOS 6.1.3 and I'm Level 27. It's really frustrating, and the fact that I miss some whacked snakes everytime I visit my friends is making me fed up as well. It's a shame, because I love the Whacking Day update and I would really like to fully enjoy it. How can we let EA know about the problem, so they can fix it? Something tells me it's gonna take a while...
