server down again?

I'm guessing the server is down, as I can't get on the game. I'm pretty p***d because i have my 5x XP multiplier running, so I'm missing out on getting my donuts. Can I get extra from EA to make up for it??

I guess it's not down. I had to do the usual - uninstall and re-install it, before I could get on

I land on the splash screen and the donut just spins and spins and spins. I tried rebooting my device but no luck.

Is this one of those, uninstall reinstall situations?

I think the patch is what was tripping me up. I had to uninstall and when I went to reinstall I got a message asking if still wanted to install as it was now larger.

about a week ago the spinning donut of hope was stuck for me as well i put up with it for 3 days and went to reinstal on mobile still down loading and my phone dont like it and to be honest its a bit of a nightmare so yeah halloween themed i guess

Happened to me a while ago. Usually force-stopping the app works, but not on that occasion. Uninstalling and re-installing worked eventually.

Ah , now I know why I can t visit friends ! Corona eventually reached Springfield and they are in lockdown !

Just completely shutting down the game (pull up App Manager, swipe away all open apps) and shutting off my device (hold power button until it asks you to do something to shut down) usually fixes the log in logjam for me. I HAVE had to reinstall a few times though - and on different devices.

@barebear911 Try opening up more space on your device. You HAVE to have open storage for the game to run (the game uses it while it's running).

Your Friend database may be corrupted. There's only one solution I know of:
Write down your friends names. Yeah, it takes forever the first time - I know because I've done it. And I have 3 games...
Start deleting them. You might have to delete ALL of them to fix it. Or just deleting one might reset the database.

A good way to know if the servers are down is to come here. There will be a dozen threads started asking if they are down, and another half dozen demanding EA refund money they have not spent on a free game. And a couple demanding tons of donuts because their life is ruined. 😂 Is my sarcasm showing🤔

Or go to downdetector.com and search for tapped out or ea.

Mine Barted, wouldn't Retry, said Wait 17 seconds, pressed Home Button to exit, double pressed Home Button, swiped up Simpsons screen, (the only open app), opened Simpsons app, went in no problem.

I've been having issues since last night. Uninstalled game and now it takes too long to download data and in cases get the server error.

I have not been able to log in (donut circling endlessly) since last night so a whole day now. Tried everything but reinstalling. Android phone has been running it really well until now.

I was in at 5am without any problems, without any sleep which is a problem obviously but I had to get up anyway.

Yep They did it again, still can't login into my second town. I can loggin to my first town becous that was the last that I played but can't go to another one, email or password are wrong they say
