I got it just for the character, but I'm sitting at over 32k donuts so the cost is irrelevant to me as is the donut generating potential.
I am getting a bit bored with all these "2 rows of buildings either side of the road" type buildings though. It was a novelty to start with but kinda restricts the creativity of possible layouts, leaving a bunch of areas all looking a bit identikit. And I can't even store this one or else I'll lose Yahweh too.
You start out slowly, spending every donut you can get your hands on boosting your bonus %, then hit the xp collider and Kwik-E-Mart farm to level up. Each level will score you 1 donut until you hit level 939 when you then get a donut spin every level . I KEM farmed up till I had about 3-4000 donuts and a bonus % of about 1000%, by then I had huge amount of in game currency so would then buy Rat Trap Trucks to level up instead (quicker but less cost effective).
Now I just keep the xp collider on and just day to day collecting from buildings and putting non event characters on 24hr jobs still accumulates donuts quicker than they release new premium content.
There are some excellent threads on here with all the minute details, try searching for "KEM farming" or "donut farming" and you should find them. The above is only meant to be a rough guide to the stages of the journey to donut riches.
That's a how long is a piece of string question, it would depend on how high your multiplier is, how often you play and how much money you have to start.
For me it's only been since I finally emptied the yearbook about 2yrs ago.
Up till that time I was spending them as quick as I could make 'em.
The real turning points were hitting lvl 939 and passing 1000% bonus.

I remember first noticing an improvement around 600% and by 1000% there was no problem getting everything (God helps too). As for 32k donuts, well that must require many hours of opening donut boxes! I can't do it. I'm usually near 0 donuts but I can make them as needed.
Whoa, whoa, whoa – I only accept cash, bitcoin, or GameStop stock.

7 4h tasks opens up the 24 hour task which gives 7 donuts
52 hours if done straight
So we got to do 7 4 hour task and get 7 donuts each time??
No. Once you’ve completed the 7 x 4hr tasks, and the 1 x 24hr task, you earn 7 donuts. And then the cycle repeats.
I understand now thank you it's a lot to do to get donuts

Right?
Do his 24 hr task 7 times to have it roll over to donuts. And then, once the task is completed for donuts; the cycle can be completed again.
