Just uninstalled, probably for good. I'm done being on the hook like some jilted ex-lover, lol.
RIP town, 2013-2021. It's been real but dad sux now & wants me gone. I can take a hint. Peace ya'll, and good luck.
I see these are all posts from May but I'm now having the same issues in July. How can I fix this ? I can no longer access the game as the codes send on my phone, do not work

@kurtpauwels
I'm not sure this applies to your problem but maybe it will help someone out there...
This morning I had to log back into one of my games and retrieve the new code. I entered the code and it rejected it. So I thought maybe I'd entered it wrong. I looked at it several times, but it WAS the correct code. So I just hit Verify again and it worked.
So maybe you need to wait a minute or so after a code has been rejected and just hit Verify again.

Welcome to EA Sucks World. Delete the app and move on with your life.
I was able to log in normally and play as normal until this afternoon. Now I've been asked to verify and am now in the verify loop unable to play. When are EA going to fix this mess?
Does EA come on here to comment or have they forgotten about us? It's been 2 months, and the only response I get on tickets is to come here to the forum and that "they're working on it"
If you are getting the wrong code error, go to ea.com change your password. Uninstall reboot reinstall, do not play while downloading. I saw a comment that this works let me know
Got an email from "Origin <[email protected]>" on July 14 around 10AM saying I needed to reset my EA password. I thought it was a scam because I was still logged in to Tapped Out. Now, a few hours later, I can't log in to Tapped Out. When I try to re-log in it says it sent a code to my email. I put in the code it sent and it says it's the wrong code. Do that like 5 times, then go to the other email and follow the link to reset my password. Try and log in after that and get the same "that code I just sent you is wrong" runaround. Deleted and re-installed the app. Waited for a bajillion updates to install. STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!!!

Nope, just tried and still not working. In my case, at least, I'm not getting the email with the code at all. I get other EA emails for my account when I open support tickets, so I know the email address is working. I tried the "backup codes" in my account settings as well (one of the support tickets I opened suggested doing that) and those will not work either. I just don't know what else to do, it's been so long that this has been broken and no one has any idea how much longer it's going to be to resolve :(
I remember reading that open the game on one device and log in to get the verification email. Do not leave the game, access the email from another device and then enter the code. I only had to log in once and this is how I did it and the code worked.
Maybe it was posted before. Had similar problems that I received the message "wrong Code" but only when I use "ok" on the virtuell keyboard to confirm. When I clicked on the side somewhere else to remove the keyboard and confirmed only at the login form, the code was accepted.
Still not able to log in without the verification code that still does not send. Missed out on Foodie Fight, Springfield Enlightened and now Tavern Trouble.

I have, 3 separate support cases now. All they can say is to come here and post that I'm having the problem, as the team is working on it and have no estimate as to when it will be resolved. I've tried everything in the threads here, when I attempt to log in on the game and it sends a code, I never receive the code email, haven't gotten one in 2 months now since this change. Attempting the backup codes on the account page still fail as well, that gives the "incorrect code" error. We reset my password, we changed my email address and validated I'm getting emails from EA and not going to junk, I've uninstalled/rebooted/reinstalled, we created new backup codes on the account, nothing seems to work. Like others here, I have a lot of time and money invested in this game and it's frustrating that I haven't been able to play in two months.
@alexmarti29 - if you're getting the account and support emails but not the codes it is something they are trying to figure out why and fix, so there is hope.
For now it seems to be a profile glitch rather than the game itself, so nothing a player can do - but there might be a work-round coming, hopefully soon, while they work on a fix-for-all solution.
It's a nightmare you're missing events, but you will get back in your town sooner or later - fingers crossed

You need to use the email for the account connected to the game or the codes won't work but the edit is there so if there's a typo or you've had a lapse in concentration and used the wrong one you can sort it
I don't understand why people can't just update their email address in the origin website, to a mailbox they do have access to? I'm glad this isn't affecting me, but i feel huge sympathy for people who are. I would be pursuing EA until they changed my address manually if necessary. This isn't the first time people have lost access to an email account. I hope it gets resolved soon!
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!
