How Much Have You Spent?

So I'm doing sort of a free reign poll. I'm curious to see how much everyone has spent on this game since they started playing. If you are comfortable with sharing... I'd like to know if you are a end game player and what it took for you to get to that point. If you are not capable of fully farming donuts yet I'd like to hear how you are doing in regard to getting to that point. So no judgment or shame here. Just a speculation for what it actually takes to get to endgame and how long depending on what you pay.

.....

For me my first donut purchase was March 2016. It took until about Jan. 2018 when I could play premium for free. And I probably spent up around $900 between that time. Altogether my full amount tallied towards this game is $1,037 since the beginning. I remember spending $100 in donuts and buying all mystery boxes with it to build my multiplier. I never wanted a house farm. So with this amount of money I spent it gave me freedom of creation and not having to farm duplicates.

I'd like to hear your current game status.

I'd guess around $400 on my first 3 towns. I swore I wouldn't put any money in the 2nd one, but I did. I double swore not to put any money into the third...
I had just started my first town when the 2014(?) Treehouse of Horror launched. I needed kids to Trick-or-Treat and I had... Lisa. Then I remembered that iTunes credit that had been sitting there for years - I started the 2nd game trying to move my town to an Apple device, then continued to play it "just to see how a free game would stack up against a Premium game".
The 3rd town was started to answer a question in the Answers Forum. "It'll only take me a couple of hours to get the answer...".
My 4th town I started for research purposes. Part of the research was to find out how quickly you could get to the point where the donuts start rolling in. Then the "Ooops!" with the Burning Bushes hit and I bought hundreds so I could speed up my primary research: the Yearbook.
So I started a 5th game... It's been one thing after another what with the move to Texas. I'm slowly progressing toward Donut-ancial Security, but it's a slog. I had to quit playing for a bit in the middle of an event and use a bunch of Donuts I'd saved to catch back up because of the move. So I'm guessing another 3 months at my current rate of progress.
The thing about House Farms: Once you've pushed your Multiplier up you can sell them.

Been playing since 2012 and to be honest I don't even want to think about it because I know I've spent too much.
I do know that my second town only been £30 in the last month since starting that.
    Here have a banana!!
  • Over the time the game has been running I've spent more than I care to add up but don't regret it as I've had many years of entertainment out of the game, it's one of only 2 games that I still play many years later.

I can’t say the exact amount because of rubles to dollars rate. It’s growing every year and if I convert all the money I’ve ever spent at the current exchange rate, the amount will seem astronomical. But based on my modest calculations, I spent around 200$.
@devilhunt1449 may I ask the name of the second game? I also play two games for a years — “The Simpsons” and “My Singing Monsters” (yeah, I do really love farms)
  • I decided to have a look and my first town has cost me £1249 which took place between 2012 and 2015. After that its been donut farming. :joy:

Whoa, whoa, whoa – I only accept cash, bitcoin, or GameStop stock.

I'm joining you in the cheap seats - probably close to $100 on my one and only town since 2012.

£0 in terms of real cash on this game

Ay premium purchases I bought with donuts, I earned primarily from levelling up, Find Maggie, doing recycling and occasionally getting free 5 donuts from playing Sideshow You.
  • Not much. I learnt patience playing other games. I tend to spend quite a bit around Halloween. I bought donuts and then bought golden goose one year and the donut factories the year before I think. My contribution to ea to keep them going! I just bought Pixel Homer. I haven't been playing that long, about three years I think. I buy blood mobiles and rat trap wagons now. I only play Hayday otherwise and not spent money there for years. I dip in and out of the game and can leave it for years. It has changed a great deal.
  • In 6 years I’ve spent nothing. I’ve took my time and moved along at a steady pace.
  • I bought a golden scratch off ticket or two back in the day, but that's it.

Same with me. I don’t feel the need to collect everything but somehow I’ve managed to collect almost everything.
  • I started around 2013 sometime, don’t know for sure, but guessing I’ve spent near $1000 or more till I hit 939. Since than I’m able to have a small farm and pick up most everything I want. I’m not as dedicated as most of you all though, only have 1 town since the beginning and have no desire to have 100%.

However!…Still gets economically ugly over THOH :) That is definitely my weak spot and there’s a lot I need get for designing. I missed last years, equipment failures on my end 😂 So this one coming up, I’m trying to save up for.

Ask again after, I’ll probably be too ashamed to answer ;)
….but my town will look good ;)
Nothing as loud as the silentmiaow.

    Your town already looks smashing!

Make Nightmare Pile like Zombie Sandwich. All kids trick or treat at once.
