Game is very laggy on Samsung galaxy s21

I've recently upgraded my phone to a Samsung galaxy s21 from an iPhone 11 Pro Max and I've noticed that the game lags quite a lot, it hardly lagged on the iPhone. I can't use my tablet as i accidentally broke it an can't afford to get a new one.

Has anyone noticed how laggy it's been recently or is it just me?

Anything that's not an Apple is gonna be slower than an Apple. Try disabling some apps you don't use and see if that speeds things up a tad.

Thanks for the tip mate. I've only had the phone a couple of weeks and the only apps i have are tsto and my banking app I'll see if i can remove the preinsalled apps.

@wadebear I've removed some apps and the lag haa improved but still there but at least i can play better thanks again as i wouldn't have thought of removing apps.

You may want to try to disable all your notifications and auto updating. Disable any built in apps you'll never use. Android checks a lot. Clear your cache at least once a day, like right before you begin playing. If necessary, enable Developer Tools and turn off background processes. Be sure your WiFi connection is setup as good as it can be. Android comms issues can cause a lot of lag. Sometimes i just reboot my device right before a long playing session, to confirm nothing is crashed and attempting to restart during gameplay. Whenever my game is running very slow or has crashed, I'll go look in Settings/Apps/Running and see what it is that stuck in a restart. Damn Google Play Services sucking up my resources all the time. Or Netflix app is running for NO reason... Or... #androidsux

Cheers mate I'll give it a try. At the moment it's ok but if it gets as bad as before I'll try what you've suggested.

Reason why i left apple was i was getting bored with them and my friends who've been with Samsung for a while were saying how good Samsung is so I decided to try it out.

I had a GS4. Samsung just seemed to make everything redundant with Google, so the phone seemed bloated. It was confusing. Now I'm using a Blackberry that runs Android. It sucks but i prefer a PKB so I'm stuck with it for now

@4junk3000 i was interested in a blackberry back when they first came out but i didn't get one but have borrowed one from my cousin when my phone was getting fixed, i did like it but didn't have enough to buy one and i wasn't working so I couldn't get a contract.

Back in 2014-16 I was planning Simpsons on Samsung galaxy tab, and after my city grew, the device began to lag. This is one of the reasons why I stopped playing that often for a time. I hope you will solve your problem!

I'm using a Samsung galaxy tab s7+ and like 200 from item limit and the game runs fantastic.

No, its a very old, low memory (RAM) device, so I expect it to be slow!

I have a samsung 21 ultra being delivered friday. Looking forward to carrying my town everywhere I go now. Looking forward to showing others my town when out and about.

I would love to do something like that. Even frame a poster of it. I'm just afraid of the image quality and it being blurry. But if I could get a high res image of my town into a poster I'd absolutely love that.
