Monorail Alignment - Stupid Question!
Hi guys, been playing since 2013. Delighted to have lots of new land. First thought - monorail expansion! I had 2 monorail tunnels in storage. Was surprised that I couldn’t just place them anywhere along my mountain range, but that’s a separate issue. I’ve put them in 4 separate locations and, no matter where I put them, my monorail tracks are 1/4 out of sync (half of a small piece of track - please see pic) What on Earth am I doing wrong please??!!

Move my whole monorail?? Surely not? That’s certainly not happening, if that’s my only solution!
Wow, how disappointing! What a poorly thought out idea this is (IMO) I’ve had the monorail tunnels in storage for YEARS, waiting for this land to open up. And, now that it has, I have to move EVERY piece of my existing monorail? I have lots and lots of items/buildings VERY close to my monorail, so moving it would take a LONG time, time I don’t have.
BIG missed opportunity here. Thanks for the answers guys, disappointing as they are! 👍

Or,
You could create a separate rail that services the new area. As long as you include a station that makes its own train. But if you want one continuous rail then yes, it's the rail tunnel that dictates its placement throughout the grid.
It is achievable with a certain strategy. My strategy is to have all 6 stations separated and not united. I have the Mall-O-Rail in the Springfield Heights and it goes to new area in the North East. The Sprinfield Central use both tunnels to enter and leave Sprinfield Heights. The other four stations are all around my Springfield but as I said each one is independent.
Gaps like these can be used to create new home brew stations where the train wouldn't normally stop, but the gap makes it slow on approach and then reverse
Yup yup
