Who Else IS Experiencing This Major Failure ? EA Please fix ASAP

When I launch the game instead of showing my user name and level, I constantly get " EA Login - if you have an EA Account, don't forget to log in.", (and off to the right is the option "Tap to play anonymously".)

Well I want to play to my current level 939 so of course I tap EA Login in which then shows a screen to punch in my Email. I do so and get the code in my e-mail, type it in the Account Management sceen that pops up, press Verify and lastly this screen: " An error occurred processing the login. Please retry. - Continue." Pressing Continue just flashes this lasts screen - goes no where, AND starting from the begining at EA login untimately fails EVERY time in the last step.

I have been playing since the inception of the game in 2015, and this sign in issue is the most frustrating I have ever encountered ! I have been contacting support for a 2 week period and no fix - from what I been told this issue is rare but thankfully as of 12.20.21. an EA tech told me it is being worked on, I just have to be checking forums to know when the fix is active. I was hoping an e-mail or tect would alert me instead.

  • sounds like you may have a couple issues here. Make sure you have the latest update from your app store and your device is up to date and the date/time is correct
    First would be a space issue or maybe you are playing on IOS device.
    Clean off 6-8 gbs of space and reboot device. It may download again and then be good.
    If on IOS, make sure the offload apps feature is turned off, clear your cache, clear history on safari and spotify if you use them and you may need 10 gb free or 10% of your total storage free. IOS lies about how much free space you have so clear off everything you can even if you think you have enough.
    Second issue, if making space did not fix everything, could need you to go to ea.com and change your password to less than 16 characters with only letters and numbers in it. I know you don't need it to login but we used to and the code is old so worth a try.

    One possibility to check:
    Confirm you're using the correct email address and try again. If you are using a gmail address, check if it has any periods added or missing. Gmail allows the use of periods to create aliases. You'll receive mail with a code correctly, but EA may reject as a login if it's not identical. Good luck.
    All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!
  • Well, it’s not that rare. I am getting it once every one-two weeks. It is very frustrating because I have to exit the game to get the sign-in code, and then when I come back to enter the code, that page has disappeared so I have to start all over again. Plus, you have to type in the code where it says “paste” and then you have to click “verify” instead of “enter” or “sign in” or something else that makes sense. AAARRRGGGHHHH
  • It’s been happening to me every few days too. I find that if I close it and start it up again it goes back to normal. It’s a pain in the **** though.
  • I was getting this nearly every day and had to remove and reinstall. So I slowed down my very rapid tapping and actually looked at what I was typing. Turns out I would occasionally input my age wrong, only putting in a single digit. And since EA won’t allow young children to play, it would lock me out.
    I can’t say this is your problem, but it never hurts to double check what you type.

    I appreciate all the feedback but have done everything - changing passwords, changing e-mail, adding a new Origin-EA account, cleaning iPhone cache, deleted apps, deleting pictures, contacting EA support 5-8 times - absolutely no fix, no calling back to see if issue has been resolved. I conclude that they could care less about a user who has played loyally since 2015.
    One thing I did not try - delete the app download it again - I am scared $hitless that I would not be back to where I left off if I do ! I guess it is time to contact Apple and get a refund on the donuts I paid for since game does not function - going on the 3rd week
  • Delete the app and download it again! Not saying it'll sort your issue out but I've done this numerous of times over the years and it all came back fine each time.

    SORT THIS OUT! Restarted app, deleted app & downloaded again…. Still getting log in errors on iPad Pro 12.9 IOS 15.1 Every time I recharge the pad the game crashes, can’t connect to server, verification code fails , log in error….. This problem is not at my end…all log in credentials correct including the double input verification code issue …DOH!!! .

    First off, yelling at other players seems counter productive . This is a players forum , not EA support.

    If this was a huge problem in the game there would be pages of posts here. This issue crops up, but is always device or user related.

    Have you tried all the suggestions above. If they dont help do you have or can you borrow a different device to at least try logging in on. If you get in you have your answer.

    The ipad crashing every time you charge it is definitely not game code, its device.

    The suggestion above about password length etc has helped others, suggest you try that also.

    If not you may need to talk to EA support.

  • I had a similar issue. My verify code wasn’t being received. The only way for EA to fix it with me was for me to create a second game on a different ID/EA account and then EA merged over my level 939 account.

    Lost my donuts though, but lesser of two evils I suppose.

    I had a similar issue and called Customer Service. They said someone had apparently hacked my account and changed my password. They deleted it and had me change my password and I got my account back.
  • What’s the phone number to contact technical support, please (USA)? I’ve had to run through all the steps at least 8 times in the last couple of days, and every time I exit the game, I have to do it again to get back in. Very frustrating.
  • I had the same trouble. It took 4 times pasting the number, then it finally went thru.
    Each time the number remained the same in 4 separate texts.
  • My problem is more I get the code, log in, and I’m good to go after the 25 minute **** a of downloading the whole damn game again. Once in, I’m fine. Once I’m back out of the game, not logging out, this stupid system behaves as if I was never logged in and I have to redownload the thing again, and again. I mean seriously, are monkeys running this game!

    I know you are a long time member so please dont think i am giving you the newb advice. None of those issues are game design, they are all device issues. If it was a design issue most people would be experiencing it. The redownload is a device issue, worse on ios devices. There are lots of threads here on that issue, butbit seems to persist. @4junk3000 seems to have a good handle on it.
    For the issue of it not remembering you were logged in try syncing by going to friends just before you exit. It sounds like your device may not be caching the info properly and the server sees you as logged out.

  • I’m also getting this having to download extra on the game when I log in. I have cleared as much as I can from my storage and have about 7gb free on my phone. I’m only playing once a day because it’s quite frustrating. I’ll try the friends list part too
  • It logged me out, and when try to login I get a message saying “error in login retry”. Can’t get back in.
