I'm way back on missed events so there are lots of things there. But there is overlap with Yearbook Mystery Box. So I'm saving my tokens and buying with donuts those overlaps. For example you can get all four teleportes from YBMB for 30 donuts and it takes two tokens to get them from this.
Will it eventully have all the missed things? I ask because i don't see even half of those I'm missing. For example no Simpsons babies.
Still got only one token : the one you get with the start of the mistery box... guess only buying them assures you'll get any. A bit bummed out really...
@Denny_74 - My A town's had about three of the challenges including one today, but I only had 2 items in the box to start, so I'm saving the extras.
My B town has 12 items in the box and I've only had one task for a token so far !!
Perhaps that'll improve if I spend a token . . . ??
Don't forget, they meant this to be between EVENTS, plural. So for some of us, the acquisition of tokens may be stretched out over months. Remember that this is a long game. Success takes years.

@4junk3000 - it also says " Each Shattered Dreams box contains a new list of themed items, available until the start of the next event " which might mean if you have stuff you want now and run out of time it won't be back the next time the box shows up !!
Of course we won't find out until the next update hits and you complete it to see what happens.
Perhaps the boxes will rotate anyway and this set will return at some undefined future date . . .

Great observation, @1-Graham-S A new list each time is welcome. I suspect they may offer a few different items between each new event, but still revert back to the same list of non-uniques. More diversity is welcome

Just got Pirate Kang in one of our games that does not have Kang. Once again a useless costume. The unaccessable game (removed by moderation) got Prom Time Homer and EA promised that if you get it you get Teenage Homer. No, the game did not get him and when asked from EA the answer was crickets.
Oh, I got it now. These are mainly from the Sci-Fi event in 2016 and I didn't play then at all. So I assume that these goes away when the next event begins and after that we get a new set from older event. I don't really know what will happen eventually as there is always one event gone before the next box opens. So it can go on for ever but will it ever repeat things. Maybe it will combine events like Game of Games for one box & Thanksgivings in one but who knows.

And once again I must say that I did not get it. This box contains items both from 2016 Sci-Fi event and the Holidays of Future Past and maybe from even more future themed events. So they are grouping same themed events together in the box. Waiting for Terwilligers.
There's stuff in the box from easter too, the egg generators. It's interesting how they made a theme of it. I look forward to more themes in boxes yet to come. I would like to have at least one of each item on the ground, but thats impossible as im already at the max with an inventory full of stuff I cannot place.
I want more tree groupings! They helped cut my individual tree count significantly. I already used every one that came free in the new SH zone, but I have several naked areas that deserve forests

Is anyone having redeption problems? Spent 3 coins, twice the item i got didn't appear on screen or in inventory. One was the underground headquarters.
@Deadshot_DCU - I suspect they'll always be returning items in any misery box. They'll save the new stuff to use as event prizes or the real money donut bundle bonuses I reckon. Sorry.
Would be cool if the Shattered Dreams box had new & unique prizes in it like Characters, Buildings & Decorations.

I had to tell myself that this box is for newbs to get old things they see in our towns, or completionists who missed something obscure.
I appreciate theyre releasing new game mechanics. Thats a step beyond just 4hr prize cycles we've had for a while now.

I just did some quick math . . .
While they're giving us 5 new prizes and a premium per act or mini event and doing 6 of each a year that's at least 180 new items every year along with anything they throw in as a Gil Deal. That's an average of a new thing every 2 days 😊
I had 2 items in my box, 1 being Hans Mechman that I really wanted. Bought 2 12 packs of donuts to clear it out and support the game a little bit. First time in a super long time buying anything. Feels good
