Giving up playing

I've enjoyed playing the game for many years now, and have reached all the highest levels.
Unfortunately i am now finding it very tedious, due to the lack of a 'sky finger' for characters like the one collecting rent on buildings. Tapping on 510+ characters is very boring, even when just setting tasks for 24 hours, also I'm fed up with the time it takes for all the floating cash and xp to bank.
I think from now on, I'm only going to play when there's a new event.

  • Do you need the income from your characters? I stopped sending mine, years ago.
Make Nightmare Pile like Zombie Sandwich. All kids trick or treat at once.
  • Actually you're right, I don't need the income. Never thought of that :#
  • As said, u dont have to send characters on tasks.

I am also max'd out on most everything, and I also have become impatient w waiting for cash to be tallied. So what I do, is use the Skyfinger once a day, usually at midnite. Once the skyfinger collection and donut rounds are done, I then tap the characters ive sent on jobs. I ONLY SEND THE CHARS I WANT PARTICIPATING IN SCENES. The rest I just leave standing around. This way im keeping my town interesting to me and my neighboreenos. So I renew just a few chars, and usually at the locations that allow tasking at site, like the Moes Express Bar.

Maybe you can try something similar, so you only check in once per day if you want to. This game can be fun again if you find a way to remove the "chore" of cash collection. I spend most of my game time tweaking designs and scenes. Make it more into an art game if possible.
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!
  • I stopped sending all characters some time ago for the same reason. I like to keep some of the stages active, as well as the movie sets and a handful of other tasks just to keep the town a bit dynamic - but otherwise I have most characters roaming free.
  • I have stopped collecting incomes for a few years. If you don't need the money, you can don't collect.

Same here. I have almost everyone muddling about in one big plaza, and have the buildings around them to return them there if the need to go out. No reason to collect money I can’t spend. I collect just to pay for RTT’s for donuts. The kids are attracted to school, the adults to sex on the beach or coffee.
  • The one character I always send on a task is Cookie Kwan's "Advertise Springfield Heights" for the 1000 real estate points. Just something about that makes me religiously send her on that over and over and over.
  • Different strokes for different folks as the old saying goes. I keep playing so my better half and I can compete during the events. No need to assign tasks. Just roll with the events and keep Yahweh doing his thing for the six free donuts. I also keep my recycle area active to get more rail sections. I have thousands on hand now. Whatever rocks yer boat!

  • During non events, I don't send everyone on tasks, mostly the first few (Homer, Bart, Lisa, Apu, etc.), or characters stuck in the vast emptiness of the barren wastelands that are in my town. (Nice, orderly gridlike squares with nothing in them like we're in Centralia.)

Or, stuck on my Squidport, because I hate when the non boardwalk people get on it because they never leave.
Trying to control the horizontal & the vertical. Do not adjust your TV.
  • Yeah I don't send everyone on tasks anymore. I will activate characters with funny animations if I happen to see them, but overall I just send characters on Event missions or if they are on a daily challenge. I don't need the income anymore. The Income is now useless.
