If you start a new game with a new account, what is the best way to level up quickly? I’ve read about different methods, but i just cant find the combination of having enough donuts and cash and keeping the conform-o-meter high
Buy into the Burns Box. As you can get the van and the billboard for only 6 donuts. Now, you won't always get those (as the game kind of lampshades with the donuts). But it is the cheapest way to quickly build up your XP%.
Trying to control the horizontal & the vertical. Do not adjust your TV.
It’s definitely a slow process. Probably took me 3-4 years at least to reach the max level. It’s not a bad thing to just enjoy the storylines for each of the characters and do some decorating between levels. I think too many people rush through it so fast that they have a million buildings sitting around with no organization. Then they get overwhelmed and just quit. That’s my theory anyway. I have a ton of buildings sitting at the edge of my town that I haven’t yet found a place for but a majority of my town is organized. After all of these years I’m happy to have areas that I created a long time ago and haven’t touched since because I they turned out pretty good. If you don’t like the decorating aspect of the game, then I think it can kind of boring.
@Cousigames - if you keep working on that bonus you'll probably hit 4,000% by next winter
If you haven't already add a nice amount of extra houses depending on how often you tap. Personally I favour the purple(3 hour), blue(8 hour) and white(12 hour) to suit the 4 hour event cycles and a load of brown houses you can tap at the start and again when you've done tapping. The latter is also handy for neighbours to find. That gives you the XP from building 'em and regular extra $$s and XP to boost the farming
Doesn't it take a lot of space to get to 4000%? You need a lot of space for those vans and billboards. I'm worried about running out of room.
Basically the trick is to have the highest possible multiplier items on the ground. I prefer jet bikes and nukes for efficiency of multiplier rate and size. You're welcome to visit my town and see I have no large stockpiles of vans or billboards that look cluttered. All my bonus multiplier items fit into creative designs.
I had 4k bonus, but I had to store a field of burning bushes (1%) large enough to fill the entire Area Select Tool square. So im in the 3k% range now.
My town is full of hidden wailing walls and tennis courts, and a bunch of visible nukes and jet bikes (2.25%). Yes i'm at the max limit so I must keep storing things. Eventually I will have to start replacing the hidden tennis courts with whales (7%) but they are very donut-pricey.
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!
I had over 100 tiles at the top end of town with nowt but bonus as well as scattered stuff.
Shame they're not back this year but the Snowball II Snowman ( AKA Snowcat ) is 1x1 and 2% - that's 512% per land tile or 12% in the same space as a single newsvan !!
Mini nukes are 0.75% per 1x1 compared to 0.333..% for a newsvan or jet engine bike if space matters
EDIT - I had 26 tiles full of burning bushes in my B town, when they were offered for $$s, but if I scrolled anywhere near them my game lagged beyond belief - far better with 4,000 snowcats !!
These are all stored now. I'm ticking over with a few hundred snowcats and some scattered deccies for about 3,000% and the collider off, but I have an insane amount of Ds . . .
( they go all the way to the mountains, and some random bonus stuff bottom of shot )
At one point @168sean168 had over 25k% !! At 16k the fun was waiting for the counters to catch up and hoping Bart didn't wreck it !! Skyfinger took over 2 minutes collecting bonut rounds
@1-Graham-S yeah but I didn't keep track for a long time. These days items are getting so big and land is getting scarce may have to store some of these bonus items
When you do KEM farming, do you always try to get 3 donuts each time? It could cost 100,000 cash if you get 3 donuts on your third try. Is there a point where your multiplier is high enough that your strategy changes?

Here is a brief description of how I tried leveling up fast: https://forums.ea.com/en/the-simpsons-tapped-out/discussion/100416/0-to-60-in-25-days#latest
I just hit a major personal milestone: 1000% bonus
Special thanks to the people who spread awareness about KEM farming

There are a lot of items with from 2 to 7% multiplier. the jet bikes and snow cats are easy to hide behind other buildings. Whales add 7.

Where in the store are the nukes and jet bikes located? When is it a good idea to start getting them? Should I stick to mystery box for now?
They come around in the Vault. That's the time to stock up.
I recommend buying a few more every time they appear. I never did the mystery box thing, as I didnt want giant fields of vans and billboards.
That's about what it took me to farm freely. But I also spent about 1k.
