Questions about tokens on my 9th Anniversary!

I was awarded my 9th anniversary badge this week:
It’s pretty impressive that this game is still going, pretty strong at that. I remember being upset over the endless pay-to-play business model of mobile games like this, 9 years ago. After spending one $10 gift card, I swore I’d never give this frustrating game another cent.
But that was before I knew that this game would be so entertaining for so long. Like crazy long!
So when this year’s BF sale had 5 of the larger premium buildings I’ve been waiting to return, I realized it was time to finally pay back, and so I did, literally:
Here’s what I added to my town for another $10 spent:
Bedlam Institution
Who left that back gate open?
Donut Factory
Ihope they’re not fighting over who bit that big donut
Jackpot Realty
TweenLit
CostMo
and Marge’s Car
What a great haul and I hope this $10 spent earns me another 9 years of daily play. I love this game! Thanks for keeping it going, EA!
QUESTIONS:
Meanwhile, I didn’t expect to acquire so many tokens with this transaction. Should I spend them on donuts, or save ‘em? Did anyone used saved tokens for Black Friday purchases this year?

All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!

You might find old ones in inventory too and should be able to trade 'em for sprinkles.
You can trade them now or later but they are not useable next year. They will just sit in your inventory... I like to collect unused tokens, too bad they stopped making unique ones
Thank you so much! No I dont mind; I enjoy insipring others to design in their towns. Ive also borrowed inspiration from my neighboreenos too. The social aspect of this game just isnt utilized enough, IMHO. Im considering proposing to the group, a new series of "What Have You Done With?" posts to see if the current forum members would like to participate in sharing designs again. The Showcase was very popular several years ago. I'd like to get it busy again. It isnt a competition for me; it's sharing ideas and celebrating creatvity!
Yeah it's difficult to design in the "winter" so I understand your rush right now. I've been the same way, trying to complete designs for all the new stuff I just acquired. I'll stretch out the questlines, but I wanted designing complete before snow falls in our SFs!
Happy tapping!
Gold tokens are the exception and have been reusable in the following years black friday events mate. Really don't know why it's the case with them but not complaining
Example : Black Friday prize 1 - consumable name:BFFiveGoldenTokens2022
I'd guess next years will be . . . GoldenTokens2023
I suppose if you've got some left and don't need the sprinkles it might be worth leaving 'em and trading them next year if they don't count and sit in inventory.
Thank u! Nice to see you are still here at all. I remember u having a lot of trouble recovering your town from some chaos. I hope that worked out ok
