    Ok the plot thickens.

So I've been giving eggs to my friends in spurts, rather than all at once. So far only one town takes a chunk of my snakes, a few others take 5 and despite losing a few, I gained over 120 snakes on those rounds, so by paying close attention I was able to gain but it's a slow and tedious process.

Ok......so when I was giving eggs to my friends I kept noticing I was revisiting some of the same towns and I kept thinking I was going mad, because I'm concentrating if I've lost snakes or not, I wasn't looking at whose town I was in. After I came out of one town I scrolled across and entered that town, i then came out to find i was about 2 scrolls back to the left and my towns had re-shuffled, (i tried to get a screenshot but it didn't happen again, on my next visit I'll provide pics) so I gave up at this point and was up to a 820 snakes, and had 89 eggs left and decided to call it a day, When I go in to my town I was now at 850 snakes and a 101 eggs So this thing seems to be working both ways, you're snake count can go up or down after visiting friends, which I think is a snake bonus glitch. Most have been the latter but has anyone else yielded more snakes after playing snake roulette (formerly known as visiting friends)

Also just to provide more clues to the puzzle, I was collecting from no buildings, staying within my whacking limit (where I hadn't lost any) and left one egg for each town I visited.

between loosing XPs and now snakes I have to think the EA gods are laughing louder than when we got harpies or lost our whole towns. The only good glitch was the negative donut one.

    Hey Guys,

Has anyone tested the "come back in 24 hours" issue with this? Along with the Lisa issue and the snakes getting loose and having to re-whack them issue, Another thread suggested there is a "snake penalty" for visiting friends towns multiple times within the 24 hour period after the timer has started (after you have tapped your 3 items).

This apparently happens even if you do not leave eggs. If this can be tested and confirmed, the solution would be to visit friend's towns, but only whack snakes and leave eggs, but do not tap on the usual stuff like paint, etc. This would stop the 24 hour timer from resetting so you can go back later and leave more eggs etc. without losing snakes besides the ones you let loose and have to re-whack.

On a side note, I never thought I would be in a position to use the term "re-whack" twice in 2 paragraphs... This game is affecting us all negatively in our own ways I guess.

While visiting friends and whacking snakes, all was going well, whacking 5 snakes losing none. Then, lost 40ish snakes in one go, but managed to get back all most all of it.

I am seriously annoyed. I'm and Android user and was happily plodding along by myself doing a bit of farming to generate funds to buy land. Along comes Whacking day and Origin, woohoo I thought, I can add friends and finally this is a social game.
As far as I am concerned you can take Origin away, take Whacking day away and leave me on my own.
I logged in this morning and found lots of eggs (thanks friends :) ) and lots of snakes to whack, this took me up to 350, I had all my characters off doing snakey type tasks so thought I'd be on 400 snakes easily by now.
I had a lot of eggs to deliver, so off I went delivering eggs and collecting XP, my characters finished their tasks and I now notice have 285 snakes. ****? :( 285, I'm not going to get to 400 ever now if it keeps on like this. I have lost over 100 snakes. Grrrrrr
EA you are a disgrace. If this is a glitch in the game then your software writers are rubbish for putting out such poorly written code.
If however this is how the game is supposed to work then this is obviously just a way of generating more money.
I realise this is a 'freemium' game and I should be expected to pay a little money to gain the fullest experience. The problem is I am not willing to pay out to get things because you have written poor code or because you are profiteering.
Sort it out and give me my 100 snakes back please.

I haven't lost a single snake since I've gotten my whacking license but I've had to take measures to ensure this.

I've outlined the steps before and I can't promise they will work for everybody but here we go again:

    -Turn your sound on
-Make note of the number of snakes you have before entering a town
-If you see a bunch of snakes scurrying away? Look at your total, those snakes are probably yours
-Go into baton mode only if you see a snake
-Keep count of the number of snakes you whack (5 for a regular license PLUS the ones you lost when you entered the town)
-If you go over the amount? You will be penalized
-If you hear a hissing sound while in the town? You just lost some snakes, go get them back
-Do not go back into that town till 24 hours later
-Do not click on any buildings

Anyways, this is what I'm doing. Some of it is probably not needed but it's working for me, something different might work for you.

I would like to add that with the ratio of snakes to eggs combined with the fact that I do not have the time to spend hours searching for snakes? I probably won't be completing all the tasks before the event ends and I'm at peace with that, not going to spend donuts to get those items either.

Also, myself and several others have tested this and have posted it elsewhere. These findings are appearing in multiple posts be sure to add when you do this that these are guesses and in noway are they to be taken as "a fix" or anything.

One more thing, you will discover that there are certain towns on your list that are glitchy. They will always take the same amount of snakes from you. These towns have not released Lisa on you, they have not done anything to make this happen. Just be aware when you enter that town and look for your missing snakes.

Taken from here: http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/9437826.page if you want to see the process where we came up with these results. It's kind of funny how far off-base we were in the beginning stages.

This has to be a glitch surely?! There is no rhyme or reason to why we are losing snakes, why would they hide this in the game without giving us instructions as to how to play?!?

I visited my wife's town this morning to deliver eggs and didn't lose any snakes. Just been in there now to deliver some more and my snakes went from 564 to 549. I tapped every snake in her town and this took me back to 560. So if, like has been said, my snakes escape in to her town, where are the missing 4?!

How are we supposed to gain snakes if we lose them every time we visit people? I cannot see how this is anything but a glitch.

It doesn't help that EA don't even let us know if they are aware of this or not.

    Hi Guys,

I think I have a general idea on another determining factor on losing snakes: eggs.

I noticed that every time I lose snakes on a friends city, that city has several eggs on the ground yet to be whacked by his owner. The more were the eggs on the ground, the more were the snakes I lost there, is this happening only to me?

That's also why I'm whacking received eggs immediately after someone gives them to me.

EDIT/CORRECTION: I just lost 5 snakes on a city without eggs... so maybe I got it wrong (or it's not that determining)

I just went through some friends from the forum and i did not loose 1 snake but when i went into towns that are not frm the forums i think.. I Lost up to 10 per visit, possibly just comes down to most ppl not knowing lisa's task steals snakes?

I still don't get if I should go to friends towns without a whacking license. I don't buy premium content because if how unstable this game has been for me (and the one time I tried, my money got taken but I received no donuts and the game locked) do its going to take forever for me to get to 400 if I keep losing snakes on visits and friends don't leave me enough eggs

That could be another important cause, the cities were I lost the greatest number of snakes (25, 50!) were the ones of people outside here...

I've just lost another 5 eggs, not visited the town of anyone else, yet still losing snakes. Is this due to the Lisa task?

lissa's technique above has been working for me today but there's an interesting development.

i play my main town on an android tablet, for which i bought the expert whacking licence.
i also play a secondary game when out and about, on my iphone. i don't tend to spend money on this so i just this morning finally got the standard licence.

so, bearing in mind that i've been using lissa's excellent method, and pretty much getting all my snakes back (minus egg conversions) I thought i'd be fine on the iphone game too. First thing i notice: much harder to find five snakes than ten. that doesn't seem logical to me: the five snakes should be only as hard to find as numbers 6-10 with an expert licence... but whereas with the expert licence the snakes pretty much stick to busy roads about 80% of the time, with the standard licence i was hunting high and low for every single one. However, this might be screen size related.

second thing: on the iphone game, i'm losing snakes (5 or ten) in almost every town. On my other game with the expert licence, it's much rarer. this may be, in part because i'm in the towns longer, but actually the hiss and then loss is happening within a minute or so.

so... i decided to buy the licence upgrade, and instantly, the game starts behaving like the one on the tablet. snake losses are infrequent, snakes are easier to find, even on a smaller screen... boom. the game is actually fun.

so - with a sample size of one, i know we can't generalise... but is this a cynical ploy to get people to shell out fifty bloody donuts... or is it a glitch in permissions or whatever for those playing on the basic licence?

And just when you think you have it all figured out.....let me throw a giant wrinkle in this mess.

I've started keeping a list and I visited 31 friends. I averaged 4 snakes per visit (I can't always find the 5th and most of the time just give up). I made sure to get back my snakes from the towns where I saw the number drop (plus the snakes that my 5 snake license gives me).

I whacked 183 snakes (before those of you who have to argue everything jump in and say that math doesn't add up...remember I did say that there were some towns where I whacked more than 5 snakes).

When I was finished, I made 77 snakes and 61 eggs to total 138 items.

So where did the 45 go? Somewhere I've lost 45 (something eggs or snakes) BUT here's the catch....I never saw the numbers changing till I was done visiting my friends and added everything up.

My lists is the name of the person, the amount of eggs/snake before I enter - the amount when I enter then the amount when I leave plus the number of snakes I whacked. It's all spelled out pretty clearly.

You would think that the numbers would add up, right? I have it written down when the snake number decreased yet, somewhere 45 have gone poof.

There is definitely some sort of glitch if I never even saw that number change and I had accounted for every lost snake when I went into the towns.

This is excellent! Thank you for the acknowledgement.

I would be interested to know if your final numbers tally up, see my post above, or are you losing snakes to the great beyond? The math works as you are in the town but then when you start complying everything, you realize that somewhere things are way off.

So those of you with the Expert License, do you find yourself able to still make a net profit on snakes? If I lose 40 snakes in a single trip but still come out of it with a couple of hundred more than i started I'll take the hit.

Final thought: Is it possible that the snakes you're unable to account for could be related to Lisa's task? Maybe if you visit a town where Lisa is freeing snakes you lose a few to that?

They Better give us more time to collect for screwing us. The game deffinantly has glitches cause I have two balance beams for Lisa one in my town and one in inventory. Happened once I got the first one this morning on my iPad and got to work used my phone and boom another balance beam. I have a pic of it too!

hmm.. i haven't done paper and pen calculations, but i'm making roughly the right number of snakes. i usually give up if i hit nine, sometimes eight... i made 1000 snakes in 24 hrs on my main account - that's with the expert licence, snake rock, log and stump. and a lot of playing.

sometimes i lose a number of snakes without having gone to any other towns. but i think they're all running around in my hometown when i log back in, ready to be picked up.
