Yeah, I've had this happen too, for the first time last night. I was laying eggs in my fiend's town and after about 40 or so it crashed. About half the eggs were gone but my total hadn't gone back up. Later in an other town the same happened, though only a couple of eggs were lost then.
It's an annoyning new development. But at least I'm not losing snakes anymore when visiting neighbors.
I've lost twenty eggs in two different towns after dropping them and getting the cannot connect to server message..in one I left 48 and when I came back there was only 26.. In another I left 100 and came back to only 80...I know for a fact my egg partners didn't take them...Not complaining it could have been worse..but annoying non the less.

I tried dropping 100 eggs in a neighbour's town yesterday. The game crashed when I was 90% done, and when I logged back in about 40 of my eggs had disappeared. The eggs vanished from the town they were being placed in, and also vanished from the my inventory.
I've also had a neighbour lose eggs that he was trying to place in my town. That was a chunk of about 50 eggs.
My game has been crashing roughly every 10 to 15 minutes since the level 28 update a few days ago. Before the update I never crashed. Now I'm crashing constantly. It's getting annoying.... :?

Just made a massive egg drop, went to the trouble of completely exiting the game and restarting the app. Then carefully watched the clock, at 10 minutes I did the whole synch/exit/restart sequence and kept on. The game did crash but it wasn't during the egg drop so I actually managed to give my neighbor all the eggs I had wanted to give them this time.
I've lost snakes on the crashing at exiting the town. The egg loss occurs when I crash in the town, they eggs I place never show up in that town but are removed from my inventory.
I've suspected this has happened to me before but today I confirmed it. I've also had several problems since the last update involving the Texan, Legs & Louie not staying with assigned tasks. Then I had a crash last night and lost ~ 100 donuts(!) as well as snakes and eggs BUT I now have to start a few quests over! I lose faith/interest in a game when it can't keep track of my progress.
I've suspected this has happened to me before but today I confirmed it. I've also had several problems since the last update involving the Texan, Legs & Louie not staying with assigned tasks. Wow, have you tried the usual fixes of restarting the app? I hope you get them back somehow.
I have the same issue as all of you folks. Play for a bit and connection issue and restart. I have been going through this for over a week now. Frustrating but better then losing xp and snakes
I noticed last night as I was playing that the disconnects happened at exactly the same time (as I was looking at the clock) as the day before. Once at 10 pm, once at 10:20, once at 10:40 etc.
Yes this has happened toe three times. Once for 12, then 87 and then 36. They were all missing from my count and when I went back in as soon as I could, like a minute, they were in that town either.
