Do you think EA made it too hard?

Prev13
I think the difficulty is reasonable, especially considering the rewards. I think I am going to love the stadium and colosseum.

No they haven't made it too difficult. There is plenty of time to get everything if you started in the beginning.

However, any late bloomers just starting out, then yes. But that's how it is in any event.

I started about halfway through the Halloween event. Really wanted witch marge too, but c'est la vie.

If they made it east for everyone to have everything then they might as well just give it out.

I think it's achievable but from a business aspect they did it like this hoping that people will get half way+ then spend donuts if they don't hav enuff time to get the last few. That's my theory anyway lol

    This

I check everything of mine a few times a day and w/o speeding things up and all that, you really have to be consistent. I'm still about 200 snakes off from goals.

Way too repetitive IMO. I've been playing since day 1, when the servers crashed, and this is the first event that I can't wait for it to be over.

The witch marge was a premium item. You had to pay for it in donuts.

It isn't too difficult... I just wish there was a better way than visting all of your friends to get snakes(Maybe a minigame or something fun...) Whacking the snakes was pretty fun at first but it's gotten stale.:?

It would have been cool if you had to do different things to get snakes after each prize maybe? Just to change it up a bit.

Oh well, I'm at 10,300 so it's almost done anyways.

It's a graft that's for sure. I'm glad game play has increased but this is a bit too much for me. Tedious and repetitive, though it's my choice cos I reaaaaalllly want that motel :D

I say without doubt EA made this too time consuming.

I filled up my 100 friends for this event, in the beginning everyone was playing along with whacking day. Everyone got Fort Sensible, most got the statue. After that people began falling off. There are maybe 20 of my neighbors who have the balance beam, 10 with Duff Stadium. The two friends I know personally have long since given up on this task, they have flat out lost interest in this game after keeping up month after month previous to whacking day.

Only neighbor so far with everything whacking day is the one who used some sort of cheat to obtain items - when you see a field of 1,500 burning bushes, there is no way someone spent 30,000 donuts, or $1,250 real cash on a burning bush field.

I'm not saying to give everything out at minimum work, but this event absolutely has broken people's interest in this game.

Nope, not too hard at all. It is an event designed to reward those who are willing to put in the hours and risk carpal tunnel whacking snakes......or who are willing to spend the donuts on it.

My son had 35 neighbors when the event started, he quickly ballooned to 100. It's not hard getting neighbors, it is very hard finding neighbors who give you eggs without doing some sort egg pact. Regardless, he just crested 10,500 and he is almost done.

I've been done for a week now (I have generous neighbors and I purchased some logs).

Point is that one town was done a week earlier using logs and egg drops and the other is almost done and hasn't used any of that but he has benefited from my things because I give him the majority of my eggs.

    (about a week....)

What makes it difficult is you when you click on snakes in your neighbors' towns, you still get freaking eggs. They should have made it so that you only get snakes when visiting. It's ok to get eggs in your own town. As it is, the amount of time spent with each neighbor looking for snakes is quite long.

I feel it was hard. I went through Halloween with 3 friends and got everything fine. Christmas I had like 5-6 friends and made it out fine (before the original deadline and not the extended one). This one I felt was too lofty and got a log to make sure I was on track.

I was getting Ninja Homer regardless, as I loved that episode.

I'm at like 60 some friends now, but I don't have 3-4 hours daily to commit to visiting them all, even if broken up throughout the day. I've done some days of going through all, but I just don't have that kind of time on a daily or weekly basis.

Excellent description of this event... I cheated with a few donuts and the elite license... I couldn't take it anymore!

I do, sort of agree with you but not exactly. I think when you purchase a premium item? It should only give out snakes. One of my alternate towns (I created two at the start of this event), I used all the early free donuts to buy egg baskets and they gave out 1/3 eggs. I think they should have given all snakes. Same with the logs, stumps, rocks. The ones you purchase should be all snakes.

I wish I had known that the ratio was so high, I probably would have saved the donuts for something else.

And it is about 1/3, if I drop 300 eggs in a town then they are getting about 100 eggs out of it.

Sounds about right to me. Way too many eggs in this event. And I agree about the premium items. They should not be giving out eggs.

As someone else stated earlier (sorry, forgot the screen name) - It makes perfect sense that they're trying to get people to purchase donuts towards the end of the event if they haven't reached the item(s) they wanted yet.

This game is designed to rob you blind of real world money

Way too hard, too tedious, and too obvious that it was designed to force people to spend money on donuts. Unfortunately, some of us can't spend $20 on a regular basis in order to buy imaginary buildings.

Think about it - you have to tie up several characters for 24 hours each for a measly 10 or so snakes apiece. The time spent to reward ratio is way off balance. You tie up Lisa for 5 hours for 3 snakes?! If this is going to be the level of pay-off, then let me send all my characters on snake whacking jobs!

The whole sharing eggs concept was poorly thought out. I have 76 friends. I went three days without a single egg being shared because I did not know how to get an egg buddy at first. It is outrageous that 1/3 of the snakes you whack give you an egg that you have to spend time getting rid of, with no guarantee of an egg in return. For this concept to have worked, there should have been a limit on how many eggs one player can share with a friend within a 24 hour period. Plus, you can't even identify who gave you an egg so that you can re-pay them. The whole execution of this idea stinks like rotten eggs.

That is my 2 cents worth. If this is the direction EA is going to take, I am going to move on, despite how much I used to enjoy this game.
