Are you a gamer? and did you find this update hard?

Prev1
Just curious if there is a relationship between how people reacted to this update and their gaming style.

For me I didn't think it was hard but I am also trying to get COD diamond camo on every gun, had every pokemon and was trying for shineys, got every star in Mario 64, had to have every mask in Majoras Mask, and farmed every mount and pet in WOW. So long grinds aren't new to me which is probably why I wasn't bothered by the grind in this update.

If you don't know at least one of the things in the above sentence I hope you selected gamer no :D

Every star in Mario 64 was no joke, took me forever!

I found the repetitive up and down of my finger to be tedious, although not difficult. I'm basically using skills I learned when I was two. Figuring out where to place the finger was also rather easy, I just had to look for thumbs, dollar signs, and snakes.

I've never considered Tapped Out to be a game.

I consider myself a Gamer. I voted "hard" due to the time strictness of the game.

I think I might have posted this elsewhere, but I thought of it as trying to beat Skyrim in a month and want to have completed the major questlines and a number of side quests. The constant 'time' is what makes it hard. If you had all year you can easily beat Skyrim, or whack 12,500 snakes. But it is the time part that makes it "difficult". It's certainly not hard to whack snakes, it is the constant logging in several times a day and having to neglect other life responsibilities (and other games!) in the process.

I am a gamer and the update is incredibly annoying and tedious, it is also easy, and that's what you asked so...

You people need to learn the definition of "difficult"

Beating "Mile High Club" on Veteran is difficult.

THIS is just redundant. There's nothing hard about it.

Lol, I pretty much agree with this. There's nothing remotely challenging about this game, therefore it's not a game. It's more like an electronic pet or something.

Also I disagree with OPs definition of a gamer, it's like you're saying gaming is the same as grinding? I like playing games because they're entertaining, challenging, they make you think or use your imagination. Grinding does none of those things for me so I can never really be bothered.
I've played Sim City, all three Sims games, old school adventure games, Portal, the first Tomb Raider, all kinds of things... None of them really involve any grinding. So, gamer yes, grinder no.

I didn't say that was my definition of a gamer. I said those grinds were part of the reason I didn't think this was hard.

I said if you couldn't identify what I was talking about you probably weren't a gamer key difference ; P

Well, I don't really know any of the games you mention but I think that might have more to do with age maybe. Pokemon has always been completely incomprehensible to me.

    I'd consider myself a gamer.

Update wasn't hard in the same sense as alternative games. Just tedious, repetitive and tiring for the Whacking day update. I think the prizes have been great though.

Retired gamer. TSTO is in no way a game by any means. Its not hard unless somebody cuts off your fingers! But hard in the sense that it demands insane amounts of time and patience.

Could be, but I'm 29 and have played most of the games you mentioned : )

Also because there have been several posts about it, hard does not have to equate to difficulty, it could be that you found it too hard because you didn't want to play because it was too tedious to get all the prizes or the amount of effort for the reward was not great enough so you found it "hard" to want to play.

While I found it tedious I did not think it was so bad as to make it to hard as I never was like $%^ this I quit. Tedious yes but enjoyable for me so not hard.

I know that was terrible grammar but I'm not fixing it lol

    EDIT:
I could have def worded the OP better but I didn't so yeah

To shoot the dog (in fact my brother and I coded a mini game that allowed you to do that a long time ago)

Used to play a lot of games, may well have a video game inspired tattoo, consider this monotonous, but not hard.

Dunno how many of us on here are old enough to actually have played Duck Hunt when it came out. The dog was always more fun to shoot than the ducks.

A way to add an extra shot or other targets in addition to the ducks.
