That is great to hear, FYI other companies like Game Insight consider time advance as cheating and will ban UDID for doing such in some of their games. In one way or another its good and bad. For those who want to rush and get the items quicker this came be great. For the makers of the game, they want you to play in real time. Yeah it can get boring it it takes forever on tasks or getting in game currency.

I am sorry but being a grown adult I have no interest in following what others tell me to do. For example in Italy Halloween is not Oct 31st. That being said I have no interest in telling people to do what "you " think they should do. More importantly the reasons everyone releases " day and date " time based on good marketing strategies means they know it holds zero importance on date unless it befalls o a geographic holiday. My above message was a response form the first post.. I wan't disagreeing with your.. Just stating what other game makers have done for the past year or so since they consider time advanced cheating. They have a built in system that allows you to cheat so many times before they ban you for the Social side of the game.

I didn't read through a lot because it was between those two guys kinda stuff so sorry if I am repeating words but if you have the balloons that are still only costing money then buy them! If you want them... I'm Australian and we got the thanksgiving update this morning so all the balloons were $500-$20000 fake bucks. My friend bought most so he has them all now for the first prices...but I waited cause I bought the retirement castle. Sadly an hour later it updated the balloons (blinky balloon originally $2500 now $16500 and itchy and snowball now 20 and 40 donuts).

All good with board members but I didn't make any EA dev/mod fans as I have been given restrictions on my account. Tried many times to post for naught I guess they weren't too thrilled about this thread.
I would guess that they lurk here, see what is working, see what is not, see what people might pay for and so on, but solving problems, no way.
As for getting ripped off, yeah, I can understand the frustration of the price change, but I think I side more with Sonny on this one, not so much a rip off as a oops, we put out the wrong price. Frankly with the release history it was more shocking that nothing was going to cost donuts in the first place, would have been nice, but as they have shown every release has premium items.
Also it should be noted that the only way that you found out about a price difference was because you cheated (not calling you a cheater or trying to imply you are, just the best word I can think of without thinking too hard) and got the download BEFORE they released it to your area. So in essence they have not changed anything to you, you just saw a version before it was officially released.
Good grief, I flew 146,000 miles last year on Delta so your "cheating" theory means you DON'T travel, I do.....and BTW mostly in coach unless I get the sweet stateside upgrade, which is laughable because moving the clock is just a time forwarding procedure and why can't I get the same content as my OZ peeps? Get over it.
They released a upgrade based on the corporate structure that approved it. You can shrug your shoulders if you want and say "whatever" or get mad, and mind you I buy everything premium and donuts to rush jobs at too much money I care to disclose, or get upset that the didn't upgrade anything for our treats, have no fixed ANY bugs, and just make you pay for balloons that aren't that great.......unless you live in Australia.

Just joined this forum today to add my voice to the situation- Am in Australia , on level 22 and the same thing happened to me. Have not bought much premium stuff due to expense and was so happy when first saw balloons could be bought with ingame money - bought a couple then waited for some tasks to finish so I could get Itchy- so dissappointed when they changed it. True if I never knew .... But I do and feel ripped off !!!Jeez it's The Simpons - it's supposed to make you feel happy not like you're working for Mr Burns - there's enough of that in real life!

Im in canada. On the i phone, with you home button, completley close down simpsons. Change your phone setting time to adelaide australia. Open game. Dont read or do anything, keep hitting until lisa/homer finish talking. Close app, then again using home button close app fully. Change your time back to usa/canada. Reopen simpsons. Voila!!! Back to begining of halloween, answer zune. 10 free donuts!! Then repeat!!! Lots of free donuts!!
How do you feel if you make this thread, get stripped of posting pics, get your 5 star town go to one, and not allowed to buy donuts since you made an EA screw up a platform on the forum public? Happened to me.
