Thanks! I've been curious to see what my entire town looks like, and this was neither difficult nor terribly time consuming.

If it helps others who are thinking of doing this in Gimp, it's pretty much the same as OP's PS instructions. Not exact, but easy to figure out.

I tried it myself with GIMP, and as you say, the basics stay the same. If you did finish your panoramic, I'm very interested in seeing it. If you want me to, I can publish it in my "Panoramic Views" thread. http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/9329979.page

Only did it to see how it looks; don't have a shareable version saved. I could redo if you'd like to see it since it wasn't too difficult. My town's not too huge, though - I'm building Luigi's now.

I really hate taking so many screenshots because I fail and it bring me to home screen many times and I gotta load TSTO over and over..

Try closing all running applications first. Double click the home button, tap and hold one of the icons at the bottom of the screen, and then tap the minus signs. Maybe that gives you enough device memory to take screenshots.

It's not that it crashes or anything but I don't press them correctly so it's as if I only clicked the home button which brings me to the home screen or the other way around and it turns off the device.

What device do you play on? I have an ipad, but can imagine it's trickier on a smaller device.

I play on an iPod Touch 4th gen.

I keep wanting to make a panorama of my town, but then I see what you guys have come up with and my town is shamed. Though part of that I blame on being a developer. I see everything as being about efficiency... so how much can I put in the space I currently have without losing the ability to tell the story I want to with my town.

It's to the point that I get briefly aggravated by new buildings...because it's like "Oh great...how do I make THIS fit!" (Most recent example being the Wiggum house, which "forced" me to buy about a million bucks worth of land to rearrange things to make it fit in the residential area of my town.

    Pretty sure it's the same.
Take some screenshots, upload photos to your pc, use photoshop ( or whatever ) and done.

The game really should have a "snapshot" button, which would create a full resolution screenshot of the buildable land saved in your phone.

Can't imagine it would be hard to implement, and it would give people an oppurtinity to compare many more towns, many more towns uploaded on the internet = more publicity for the game.

Hey everyone, I have about 1400 eggs I want to trade. I can break them up but I'm trying to get to Drederic Tatum and I'm only to 6700 snakes. Add me only if you can trade same amount of eggs. Thank you

Wrong thread. You'll get no response here. Not trying to be mean, but does every thread have to become a egg trade thread. It's like people don't even care, and shove it into every thread here.

Is there any benefit to zooming all the way in instead of out? For example would this increase the resolution of the picture, or does the resolution remain constant if zoomed in or out?

The file is saved in the same resolution as you are viewing it. Was that the right way of putting it? lol

If you zoom in, you have to take many more shots, and the final image will be bigger and more detailed.

Save the file as JPEG or PNG.
Also, the size should be around 4000x4000 pxl.

nice thread! Thanks for the info. Unfortunately for me I do not have a computer, only an iPad. Anyone knows if there is a miraculous app that could work like paint? :)

There actually photoshop touch but doing a panorama is difficult. Try autostich for simple panoramas (3-4 images)
