Non hacked Vs Hacked

It does seem many people who have jailbroken phones just throw every item where ever they want and don't bother making a town. I agree, this is a game to play slowly to build your town.

Good topic. I agree. I can always tell a hacked town, tons of stuff crammed everywhere with very little regard giving to design.

(Please don't communicate any sort of hack/cheat and how they are done or we will need to remove this thread.)

    Carry on! :D

I have seen 3 sets of hacked towns.

    1) One of everything placed randomly
    2) Car farm with one of everything else (I hate this so much)
    3) As well made as the ones who spend real money (A minority of towns which I love seeing).

I tend to delete friends if I notice their town is hacked. Do you really need 20 grandpa billboards, 100 police cruisers, or large amounts of premiums that just make the town look cluttered.

I will admit during my last "cleansing", I removed several friends who were either using hacked games, or had way too much money to waste.

Honestly, either way it's just not fun to look at, or interact with.

I have some hacked friends that make their town look super. I think it depends on the designer, the majority however have no regard to actual design.

I think that the towns reflect the mindset of the player. If the player is impatient enough to resort to hacks to get what they want, then it typically reflects in the lack of care they exhibit in their town. Granted, a few hacked towns may be pleasant to look at, but the majority just reflect the impatient nature of the player. "I WANT" not "I CARE".

    Very nicely put.

I have several friends with hacked accounts as they all look like crap 20 plus of each vehicle all crammed in. I plan on deleting them once this event is over as well as removing anyone who hasn't played in over 10 days

I've seen many towns scattered with junk everywhere and I can't stand it I've played since August and played alot for my town I have all the premiums but I try and keep everything looking good to have an organized town and I think that playing the game naturally has made it that much better

And there are people that just give up on this farming game.

    So there are two options.
    Delete it.
    Or hack it.

In the latter case they still lost interest, so they don't put any effort in designing the game anymore.

Agree hacked towns usually look horrible. It's like too much too fast and their brains can't figure out how to make it look cool. I couldn't imagine having every item all at once. Would be overload and not very interesting.

Not in favor of hacking. I enjoy the game and look forward to updates and don't speed up quests to finish them right away every update. I have disposable income to spend on premium items and love the show since its inception (own all seasons on DVD/Blu-Ray).

I've got a few friends on my list who obviously have hacked towns (100 of each car, 10 Lard Lads etc) and all of them have very cluttered non-thought out layouts, with everything just crammed together to farm cash and XP.

To me that seems like a complete waste of time, the fun of the game for me has been waiting for things to build, waiting to have enough donuts to buy new characters and trying to make my Springfield look and feel like a REAL working town. It took me a long time to cave in and start buying donuts, but the scratch cards are just too tempting!

I've probably been playing the game almost a year now, slowly building everything up and making the town feel right - if i'd got everything all at once, i'd have had no idea what to do with it all!

I never understand why the players with hacked towns add friends in the first place.

Because that's one of the requirements of the whacking day update.

The game asked for it in the beginning.
Can't remember if it was a task or quest.

You can get every single item without friends if you've a hacked device. Especially if you have about 40 snake trunks. Unless you're on about something else?

They just want to show off their hacked towns.

Because the hacker is also the type to "show off".... He/she wants to show other hackers/non-hackers that they can hack and throw out 200 police cars, which of course is "very cool"...

Spot on. I've been playing since August of last year. Once upon a time I thought that Krabapple's Apartment Building was soooo much money! Now I have all three aspirational buildings (Escalator, Magnifying Glass, Skyscraper) and what I feel is a pretty well-thought out Springfield. And while I did have some relatively small house farms at the beginning, those are now spread out into residential sections surrounding the bulk of the businesses. And, yes, I have happily spent some serious bucks on the game in order to ensure that I can jump on the Premium offerings.

Part of the enjoyment of this game for me has been to patiently grow my town over these several months. But that's just me. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.
