I just wish people who have finished with the event could switch off snakes in their town. I'm SICK of them. I'm trying to take a screenshot to post on here and these nasty snakes keep ruining my picture. It took 20 minutes of whacking the nasty things you should be able able to switch them off. I think Whacking Day on a whole has been poorly handled. Dropping eggs in people's towns was too much of a chore. You should have been able to select how many eggs you wanted to drop and then the game put them in for you. I have over 1,000 eggs but no incentive to sit there for half an hour placing them one after another. It's boring and tedious. In fact it's life-ruiningly boring not fun.

    Just my opinions :)

it's totally fine to extend an event because of bugs. Those bugs where at the start of the event... why not announce the extension a couple days after the bugs where fixed? Oo

so, there is only a consequence for me. Don't buy donuts again! Thats the only answer EA will understand.

The "snakes being let loose" in other peoples towns so you lost snakes wasn't much of a bug. I'd guess I personally lost around 500. For many of us, the larger bug was the fact that we couldn't use the baton to whack snakes in other peoples places. That bug has yet to be fixed. I have reported it, had my ticket closed as "fixed" with a band aid answer of delete the game and reload it. I've got my ticket reopened with no other answer and, I've had it supposedly "escalated" to the next level of tech support and have still not gotten an answer. This from the second day of the event.

Thanks to many people on the site, I was helped out last week by getting 4000 eggs in two days. I for one would not spend money on a game that has as many bugs and lacks any form of support. I understand that people are pissed by spending ridiculous amounts to get a single building but, outside of calling and * and moaning on the phone nothing is going to happen.

As for the people saying every event has been extended. That isn't true as some of the events have ended in the afternoon of the stated date. EA really doesn't have good communication. I don't believe to any degree that EA checks this site and, having gone thru their supposed support system; it is a bunch of **** from people in another country that can't actually answer any questions because they are for basic quick fixes only.

I would also tell anyone and everyone to play the free part and just deal with the bugs and quirks. Do not spend money on a game that consistently has problems. Almost every update has to be patched. Just quickly scanning this forum you can easily see how many issues the game has. On the plus side, all the people throwing away their money on it keeps it going for everyone not willing to spend money on it.

I agree. I didn't spend any cash on whacking day because I was pretty sure I would be able to finish, I didn't even got the license. But when they extended it, my first thoughts went to those that spent donuts on the items that would give them more snakes or ended up using their donuts for the prizes and, yes- it's not fair.

Travis DG Edna, thats the point. Exactly my thoughts. Thanks mate!

@1nbxfan: Thanks for the information about the bugs.

I don't expect any reaction from EA... they know what they're doing :-o

I stopped whacking after May 9th thinking it would be over any time, and I could have gotten like 6 boxes already if EA said anything about the new deadline before... ¬¬

it's EA, what do you expect. My girlfriend bought donuts to get the motel and had to give up a considerable amount of donuts to get it before we realised the day after the event was still going. I wouldn't want the money back, but I would want the donuts back that were spent on getting the last prize which she would easily have gotten in the extended week had we known about it. As for people saying keep on whacking for the extra prizes, I've got two whack boxes and in them was 1 donut each. That's a great reason to keep on whacking snakes.

This is why EA will never get another cent out of me (that and Sim City). Now I'm off to find second hand EA games so I can play them but give none of the money to EA

Finally picked up the Motel yesterday, so on one hand I'm glad it had been extended. On the other, I'm really bored of Whacking Day now.

I'd decided before the original deadline that whatever I was missing, I wouldn't spend donuts on it - to be honest, I'd spent enough on snake producing items already. But I wasn't bothered about missing out on stuff this way. As it is, the extra week helped me get the last item pretty easily in the end.

At best you missed out on like 18 donuts.

More likely, you missed out on like $6000 in-game bucks.

Get over it. You clearly haven't been playing very long- I have been playing for 8 months or more and guess what?
They extend EVERY event I have seen with few exceptions. You should learn a little patience or live without having every single in game thing...
Not to mention that if you paid for the rest of the stuff with your donuts you clearly feel you have enough money to waste on this game. Some people can't buy all the stuff they want in the game so be happy you can.

Sorry for not having played as long as you have. I guess us newer players should instinctively know that events are extended all the time. How dare I believe what I read while playing the game. Take your high and mighty, holier than thou attitude elsewhere because it helps no-one.

As for having money to 'waste' on this game, it's my choice what I spend my money on, so don't be judgemental. The point is, a lot of people spent money on donuts in the faith that the event would end on the 9th and were not informed that there was an extension which would've allowed them to get whatever items from the event that they purchased free from playing the game. That's shoddy business practice and the reason why EA have been named the worst US business two years running.
