Nice update can't play now

I have the same issue. Game has previously worked great for me besides the odd crash or freeze when veiwing friends towns. But after the thanksgiving update this morning the game loads with the new screen, gets me to log in to my origin account, sometimes even shows me a quick flash of my town and homer talking but then crashes to iphone main screen with my app list.... i have tried a bunch of things to fix the problem, most from other peoples post who have either the same or similar problems. This is really annoying after spending well over $100 on donuts.... may need a refund soon!

Find a fix!!!

Keep tight! I have a link to the inside and I guess they are aware and finding a way to fix it. Should be in next update. ETA of next update, I don't have but I REFUSE to start over after being a level 23.

Same problem: After the Thanksgiving-Update, I can't play with my Origin ID anymore, my girlfriends ID works perfectly fine.
Game crashes after the "Welcome back"-Screen...

Hope there is a fix soon! Please EA!

Might be worth mentioning the crash was before the app store update so it must of came with the last small update the games checks for before loading. I was hoping that updating the app would fix but it never did.

Also Just noticed if i'm really quick i can dismiss homers request but with-in seconds the freeze/crash happens.

Very annoying that my kids and wife's towns are fine even on my device

Come on EA how hard is it still there same, how about add a new item a tree or anything lol i dont care, release the update and bang i bet the people with this issue will be fixed

I also am unable to play. Prior to the Thanksgiving update. The game would freeze and send me back to the loading screen. It would be fine after that. However I was unable to visit my neighbours. Now I can`t get past the Homer bubble as it kicks me completely out of the app. I purchased 300 donuts as well for that game. I started a new one and I am currently at level 15 (sirpsycho6xy). I doubt I will be purchasing a donut package for this city.

I seem to have a simaliar issue, but i cannot even connect anymore. First, downloaded the Thanksgiving update, system game continually crashes. I did manage to finally tap quick enough through the beginning of homer talking about the balloons and manage to buy some, but then it crashed again. Now i cannot even connect to the server. On another note, it seems that i over paid for the balloons compared to what some iphone users were saying.

Does anybody know if EA have said something?
Is there any news regarding all gamers with crash problem, almost 48 hrs and still the issue. :x

^ EA rarely say anything.

And having issues when visiting my own area it keeps loosing connection and I get the retry screen, and trying to go to friends Springfield's has been a no no as I can not get to them - every time I try to click the Milhouse and Bart button which takes you to your friends directory of Springfield's it throws me out with that DAMN Bart retry screen - I have just over 40 friends so its not an over capacity on that issue, it seems to yet again be EA not sending out an update that has been tested rigorously nor cleaned out past bugs so the game is becoming more and more unplayable.

Mine is worst, I cant even play, when tap continue it crash, I cant be able to play since de Thanksgiving update, as I said EA stil dont have the skill to handle a game of this big size..

Same deal I can't even log to server now. And what * me is I spent about $100 on the game and can't even play it . Yet flat mate has no problems and spent nothing grrrrrrr

If you go to the Contact Us section - there is a note that they know about the crashes that are happening to people and they are working on it.

The crash is because some of ur friends didnt update, but cant know who, So you have to delete all of them. Get another game ex Monopoly Hotels login with ur origin acc and delete all of ur friends. Spreed this workaround so ppl can play again.

I had the same crash Mr Mondo said.
Two days later they fixed it, BUT.... what a nice surprise!!!
Many things in my inventory got lost: I lost the black hole, Mr Burns, I lost the angel topiary, bushes and fences.... but the most disappointing thing is that I also lost the mayan calendar and Kang with his destroyed flying saucer and the other weapon.... I paid real money to get this stuff.......
I'm very very disappointed and I want my things back.
