I need someone to talk me out of the Boat...load

Think how annoyed you will be if your game is lost, 50 squid. Half of what you need for weekend end away with the wife, quarter of what you need for weekend away with someone elses wife.

I just remind myself about the instability of the game. On the other hand Xbox games are £45 and I've had very few of those that I play half as much as this.
Personally the only premiums I've bought are the news van and the police car as I'm happy to spend a little money on the game.
If you don't get one, spend the money on something physical (ie not pixels on a screen) then you'll always be reminded of it.

I can't quite bring myself to spend so much cash on a game. It it was a lot cheaper then I might but the thought of spending 50 quid on something that might not arrive then having to fight to get the money back....
I love my computer...all my friends live in it

It all comes down to how you want to handle the money you earn. Don't forget, a lot of the people on this forum can afford/willing to have an entertainment budget that includes Tsto pixels (like me). If you're not in this category and money is tight, forget it. Save that money for a rainy day or save it for traveling or heck just go out and have a nice night out.
Also do you really have to go boatload? Why don't you just get less donuts?

Do it! Do it! Do it!
    Buy, buy, buy.

Never gets cheaper. You will buy donuts anyway and a boatload is the most effective/ most bang for the buck way to do it.

I'm ashamed to say I've caved and bought my first real boatload. (harpies got me a lot of donuts) but its so awesome knowing I won't miss out on limited time items for a while. Seeing Kang makes me so jealous whenever I see him as I didn't buy donuts until after Halloween.

The problem with boatloads (and I speak from experience) is that once you buy the first boatload, it's easier to justify to yourself about buying another boatload, and then another, and another...

I can't stop thinking about it! :( £50 is a lot of money for something that I probably won't think about in a few years. I'm not stingy but when I think I could just give this money to charity or buy something worthwile like a pair of jeans I just wonder why I can't stop thinking about the Boatload!

Is there anyone else who doesn't mind having some of those lovely premium items?!

Can someone stop me from doing something I probably will regret?!

I have to go to work now but when I get back I want to see people trying to talk me out of this. Tell me I am not alone in wanting to be content with just normal stuff!!! :|

It really is a simple choice in my mind anyway and it all comes down to - how much do you play TSTO?
I dont really buy games or play on my ps3 anymore yeah I'll probably get GTA V but apart from that last game I got was Hitman Absolution, if you buy new PS3 or Xbox360 games they are nearly £40 a pop and with the next generation of home consoles coming there games will initially be £50 I reckon, I've been playing tapped out since it released and that's over a year ago now I can't remember exactly when but I've brought 2 boatloads in that time spent £100 on the game and I've played it constantly since release! If I converted a years worth of gaming into ps3 games I'd be looking more like a game a month at £40 maybe £30 that's still around the mark of £350 to £450 for the equivalent length of digital entertainment makes the decision easy when you look at the maths of alternatives.

Now do the smart thing and BUY BUY BUY!!!

I'm considering buying 300, I've not bought donuts before and think buying £50 worth is a bit much, but then again, I'm probably gonna want stuff off squidport, so do I buy more?
Like some of you have said, £50 is pretty much an Xbox game, and I'm on TSTO multiple times a day and once I've bit the bullet and bought 300, I'll probably regret not buying more while Gil was around.......................
    I don't know!!!

Decisions, decisions and the clock is ticking, 20 hours or so left I think................ HELP!

I told myself never to spend any money after the Halloween quest but I finally caved. Realistically, I've played this game more then any other games (combined) ever. I think after 8 months, it's worth the investment of $125. It's essentially buying 2 video games.

Just a note, the $$ & XP sped up very quickly after a few premium items.

Lol you ask me I'd prefer to go to dinner with the Missus. Good chance of something extra afterwards. Not with donuts, blah no contest IMO.
