This thread has really taken off, my opinion on the matter is that people who can't / won't / hack, are very staunch in their views that hacking is illegal and immoral and so forth.

After all if you are paying good money for donuts in the legitimate way, of course you'll have a strong opinion when you see these screenshots of 87k donuts. It is only natural.

I just think it's funny how everyone is so anti hack on this game in particular, because of some legal or ethical morality?

While you sit back and download the latest Taylor Swift album and game of thrones episode, or whatever else

And as if none of you people have ever cheated on a game before? I used to use a gameshark to hack pokemon onto my game, instead of spending hours trading between devices, buying the game link cable and all the other associated crap needed to get all the pokemon

Final thought, if you download anything on the internet, it would be hypocritical to call thief onto others for hacking this game.

I guess if you do download tv shows and music illegally and still want to have a moral high ground over someone who hacks this game in particular, that's your prerogative

Just took the words out my mouth, they want to complain about hackers but I bet they watch downloaded films and songs that are pirated, who cares IMO if I was hacking I wouldn't get same satisfaction out of the game as Iam now.

Agreed. Also, to those arguing of the legality of the matter - why not cite some evidence? There is an abundance of law-related documents floating around the net if you look properly. Although I personally don't care - who cares what other people who you are unlikely to ever know in any substantial way choose to do with their lives? I couldn't care less what some 16 year old from Texas chooses to do with some app he downloaded for his iPad.

Maybe if EA wasn't so greedy there would be less hacking. But even with this donut sale in now, stupid small items can cost $5 and building can cost $10 - $20. I think to get the 6 yard sale items costs like $20 or so. You can get a new game for $20 - $60 so these prices seem very unreasonable for some of these items. Some people could buy a new game systems or even iPad with the money they've spent on this game.

It's nice that they started letting you earn donuts for leveling up, but even with that they have gotten greedy. Before WD I could level up every 120k XP and now that increases by over 100k XP each level up. Now it takes me over 1 million XP to level up which is 8 time greater and 8 time slower to get 3 donuts. It would be different if maybe some of the premium items you have to spend so many donuts on paid out a donut every 24 hours or even every week. I think most of us believe the donut currency system is way over-priced and hopefully Ea will realize this. If they can lower the price in Simpsons cash for some buildings, the can certainly do the same for the donut price. And hopefully since by the sounds of it many people bought a lot of donuts during this promotion, maybe EA will figure out if they keep the prices of donuts low and more reasonable, they would actually make more money.

Allow me to clear up some confusion. I pay for my hbo subscription and do not download music as I have pandora, podcasting, and radio (no longer see the need). I would appreciate it if others wouldn't make assumptions about others in order to make a point.
My view on the subject has become quite skewed by those making incorrect statements. I will say it again (doesn't seem to be sticking) let the hackers hack (and the hacking we are referring to is used to acquire goods without proper compensation). I've never stated that I am for or against hacking. I'm simply saying hack all you want, but don't suggest it's okay.
I think it's quite obvious that it is not okay to take what you have not paid for.

I'll be honest, I'm extremely tempted to hack or cheat but I haven't found anything that doesn't involve downloading stuff and I don't know how to do it on my phone or if it would ruin my phone and we just got this on replaced because some b**ch stole our other phone. Thank God for insurance!!

I'll never consider 'stealing' digital music as one in the same as robbing a record store, like some people use as an analogy. A record store is full of tangible product that required expense to produce. It costs money to make a CD. It requires nothing to produce a duplicate digital file. A digital file has no guarantee. Most music you can pay for comes in MP3 file format, so you also lose audio quality over time. That wouldn't happen with a CD. You could make your own MP3 from a CD, or even a lossless file which would be better than what you're paying for on music sites.

This is why I'm a big fan and supporter of independent artists who make most of their money in concert and merchandise sales while releasing the majority of their music for free on the internet. A lot of them actually make more money this way since they see most of the profit instead of shelling out a huge percentage of it to their record label, whom are the biggest culprits for DRM laws.

Damn.... Where can I get 87k of donuts...

    On a hacked game .
On that note, don't know why some hack that many donuts, I wouldn't even be able to spend all that...

Agreed.. However you could spend it on speeding up everything haha! But that just ruins the fun/point of the game in my opinion.

I know its horribly wrong of me to say, I got yelled at for posting that I tried but failed to take advantage of one of the glitches, but I still wish I had a way to get a whole ton of donuts!! There are quite a few donut things I want and I only have 17 of them!!!! I had a few more but lost them because of fast tapping (thank God that's fixed) and because I tried to use the glitch with the racetrack/ scratcher I tried it one day too late :(

My fianc? say they are stupid but I really want some. The iTunes a count is in his name so there's no secret way I can buy an iTunes card and use it without him knowing >:-(

Sign up for your own iTunes account, all you need is your own email address. You can sign into it and purchase your own iTunes cards for your game. And then log out and back into your fianc? account after you are done adding donuts. No need for anyone to know that way.

Hehehe. I'll have to do that, that way I can get donuts and not do any of these messed up hacks. I'd be scared to try them anyway.
