I have mine near Nelson's house with the Piece-of-Crap car. It doesn't look too bad, kind of like a yard full of cars on blocks type of feel. The ray gun on the other hand looks crappy as I don't own the Volcano Lair or Frink's Lab. So there's nothing it goes with.
I thought about doing an Area 51 type thing and isolating it behind a bunch of barbed wire fences. Haven't gotten around to actually doing it yet though.

Mine crashed near Cletus' farm. It's got barbed wire fencing around it. I don't feel it's out of place because I treat it as Kang's house. His wrecked, dilapidated house.

pretty much exactly what I did. with some dead trees and a burning bush. although I'd much prefer if they just changed it to the ship without the laser wreckage.

That's one of things I'm glad I didn't do during Halloween. I chose not to waste donuts on the rocket and even though I had 20 billion (well close to that) treats, I never bought the Burns monster.
I sort of got sick of Halloween pretty quickly. My cemetery's were in storage a few days after getting them. And it was a pain in the *, but I dealt with Kang flying around all the damn time.

For me Kang is one of my favorite characters in the game, and even though is wasn't cheap it was worth every single donut. On the other hand burns monster.. I wish there was a bug that make it disappear from the game.
What I was thinking to do (once I get enough space) is that when I get the Springfield Sign, I will put a whole bunch of trees in front of the sign and then make a small secluded area to fit the broken ray gun so in a way its "hidden" from view of the others around town. It will just look like it crashed in a forest and not in a random spot on your town.
I do wish we can just store it and keep the fixed one out on the town while still having Kang roam...

I did the same thing (until I moved everything around and chucked it in storage haha) I think its the best thing to do with it. Looks great!
