Maintenance to the forums please.

the main stickied thread (currently titled whacking day....) is not a mod, just a very helpful player. He probably got burned out, but you can go to the last few pages of that thread to get some good updated info.

no his computer broke down so there won't be any more updates to the thread for a while

I understand that the OP of that thread is not a mod. The request is still valid considering the title of the thread. I mean, these forums don't keep up to date information about updates? I appreciate you letting me know where to get info, but we should all realize these forums, being in the FAQ section, should provide information readily available. Surely I can't be the only person that feels this way.

As a mod we are not technically allowed to modify someone post/thread without their permission, and as Simpson00001 is not around at the moment, something to do with a "real life" or something we are waiting for him to return so he can update / modify that thread, Ignore the title the thread has loads of information that is useful to everyone!

As for the Squidport information it has been two days! things are still being compiled. Real jobs get in the way sometimes bud lol

so mods here aren't necessarily EA employees? That's what I thought and what brought the complaint about. I was thinking, "what are these mods getting paid for?"

No and I highly doubt they get paid either. If so, the compensation is likely very low ... that's how forums work.

That's how THESE forums work. There are forums out there with moderators whose jobs consist of maintaining the site and they get paid for it. It's their job. That's the way I thought these forums worked, apparantly not.

Alright, then that explains it. Like I said, I'm used to forums where mods and admins are typically employees of [insert company name here] and are moderating not just for the love of it, but because it's their job. Excuse my assumption, hope everyone knows why I made the thread though

Until the four of us were made mods by the admin this site never had any!! Unless someone came over from another EA Forum, we purely do it because we want to

People who have been around these parts know what this forum was like before mod were appointed, even tho you are not happy with certain things here this place is way better than it was
