There are people on here who have stored certain items and had problems getting them back or you have to re-build them again, the better way would be to put all the buildings in one corner of your town that way you still earn money and XP from them :)

I'm doing the same but my town was never really finished the way I like it and I still need my mini farm since I can't even afford Hermans! :( It feels weird moving everything - kinda wrong feeling like I'm losing a friend...or my mind...

Yeah im not liking my town now that squidport is here. I just built a massive forest in the top right section, no way im moving it. Im just struggling with figuring out what to do with the grass areas by the beach. Afraid the entire left side of town will need to be rearranged

With the addition of Squidport, my town's layout needs to be SERIOUSLY rethought, as well. Way too much beachfront property with nothing on it. Needs some condos, time-shares and "No Trespassing" signs now, I guess.

Luckily I put a road straight through the left side when I first started so when Squidport came along, I didn't have to redesign anything. I have moved some buildings here and there but will probably never redo the entire town. I actually like how my town looks. :D

I'm in the middle of a semi redesign, not really bothering with it but working towards getting it less crammed together

I know what you mean. I had my residential area in the bottom corner by the mountains and waterfall, since that's where the game basically started. With Squidport, I didn't want it so near the water, so moved it all over about 4 squares. Was a pain to move all the fences individually (although a bit easier by putting the fences in storage, as coming out of storage it just asks to place the next one instead of selecting each individually). Game needs an option where you can select a plot of land and move all items over together. Still redesigning as each small section takes quite a bit of time to design, plus I'm low on land, need to buy a lot more just lacking $.
