Yes, but it's a good thing to me. Lets me finish the building and related tasks while building tiles. Otherwise it'd be at least 4 hours extra time between each next block.

    I was kinda sad when it happened to the main story line.

    This time I'm not so sure about. Because you can keep building tiles as soon as the other one has finished so I guess it doesn't make much of a difference

    It is part of whatever EA did to break the task line, so that you no longer need to complete all tasks before starting the next one.
