You can set them to one building because some characters have the same tasks

    Basically, its just really long...

I came up with the idea of having a feature for the later levels of the game where you have SO many characters its almost a chore to set them all on tasks of the same length:

A 'select all' function to assign all characters available their own specific task for each task length... I just think that would be way easier...

    Thoughts?

You have a good idea but for me it's not really a chore to assign tasks to all the characters. It's part of the enjoyment of the game to tap on each one and hear what they say when you assign the task. I think the real 'chore' was waking in the middle of the night and tapping on snake logs, rocks, and snakes before going back to sleep. :)

I like hearing their little comments, so I don't mind tapping them all. although I'm sick of hearing characters like the sea captain saying long sentences. just say Yaaaarrrrr!!! And be done with it.

I'd like to just have an "idle" button that appears if I have characters or buildings that aren't doing anything when they could be. This is common in many RTS games - if you have a "worker" unit that isn't working, a button will appear that will take you directly to them.

It can be hard finding some of the characters in the game - especially the kids. Especially Ralph.

If you find it a hassle why don't u stagger the tasks and put your least favourite characters on 24 hr tasks

i look forward to having 25 characters to give tasks to lol, its visiting 80+ friends towns that gets me, not so much visiting, as its nice to see what others have done - some are amazing! its the loading time going in and out of each town :( its not my internet speed, possibly might be my tablet (kindle fire hd)

That would be a neat idea, but I like the idea of a locator better, especially if it has a symbol on it to quickly tell if they are doing a job, are done, or are wandering around. I'm tired of having to go into the move function and turn of buildings and decor to find all the characters. Half the time I have characters just wandering around because I got too lazy to set them to tasks.

id like to be able to send the characters on there missions via the menu instead of looking through the town to find them.

you can actually do that (kind of) by clicking on the quest and then selecting 'do it' :) also, just on a general note i reckon that EA should give us an entire task function (in addition to the see friends, move things function etc). in it they could include all the characters of the game that we already own on it and their task descriptions that we can click on and select tasks from this dropdown menu instead of running all over town trying to find them. additionally they should also add 'select all tasks for ___ hours' as a function cos that would definitely save us heaps of time. i really hope that they make something like this soon, it is getting to be such a pain! there are over 100 characters in the original springfield and if they were to create all these characters it would be really hard to keep playing this game regularly; i already know a couple of my friends who have already stopped playing the game at pretty high levels because the fun of playing this game is already outweighed by its time consumption.
