A question for all you house farmers out there.....

I had a farm and bought every thing with the cash. Then got rid of the town. But I could afford to get rid because I was still earning enough to keep me ticking over without the farm. What you need to ask your self is how much you take home a day without your farm. Just think if u didn't hord sum money could you of afforded the squid port update without the farm?

What if another update comes out like that an you have no room any more for your farm?

I got rid of my farm the day I got the last piece of land. Glorious moment :)

With that much in the bank, I don't think you need a farm anymore, but really depends on how much you want to save up. Redesigning can get pretty expensive, plus you'll probably need around 500,000$ for the next Level update. And then there's Krustyland coming... Ah, you may want to keep it a bit longer and bank some more cash.

I agree with Chris p , I would cut back and focus on a redesign . I have 10 million and now wish I didn't because there is no challenge with that much cash.

Yea that's pretty much what I did, it did demote in size though around Xmas and then when all the land was in my possession I
Dropped a nuc on that town quicker than a you can say " jalapeno popper fart"

We had a house farm until we had most of the land and all the expensive stuff we wanted, then we took it down. Now we are working on making our town nice looking.

Never had a house farm myself (he says proudly). But then again, I also don't have any million dollar items or all of the land either (he says glumly).

I just got rid of my farm this past weekend. Had it for 2 months...which is 1 month longer than I thought I would keep it. Managed to buy the million dollar items (which is the reason I started it in the first place) and save up about $4 million. Gotta admit, it was hard to dismantle it. After 2 months straight, tapping on all the houses became part of the game for me. I still disoriented when I log in now.

I am going to start storing my house farm this week actually.

I have all the land and water and just bought my first luxury item. the Escalator

I have really been focusing on design. and the farm is getting in the way more and more. Yes its nice to have about 50k every 8 hours. but with a really good part of town and this giant ugly section its hard to look at.

but i need the room and mine is water front property so i want that space and there is less and less room to move it. if any thing it will be a really small one and might make it a camo house farm

Got all the million $ items and all the land/water, and when I was back up to $6 million, I plowed my house farm under. It was only 30 blues, anyway. Kept 10 in storage for now, sold the rest. Making so much as it is, with all the premium items, even with mostly losing dog races twice a day. The Squidport stuff really isn't that expensive.

I have 28 million and still farming, if nothing else can retire early with no worries. Plus with no house-farm to tap, what's the point, how long does it take to put 40 or so characters on task? Adds a little more game play, or not, no law says you have to collect rent. If your in the mood, there they are, if not blow it off, but does add more game play time when desired.

994 houses in storage, mostly White, hoping the housing market recovers soon. With the slow down in cash laundering into donuts, do to EA greed, no longer worth the time investment of such a huge farm.

I am slowly tearing down my house farm ( which I don't really think of it being a farm, every house is decorated and placed to resemble a suburb) , in total I have 67 houses left, you need to have at least 30 houses to get your confortmeter at 5 stars, but as I need more space I am taking them down and selling them.
I've made a hefty sum of game money, to last about 1 year, so now I'm fully redecorating my town.

I'm thinking once everything has been purchased, having about $10 million in the bank is a good time to plow that farm down.....just in case krustyland is expensive.

I don't house farm and I get 40-50k a day. (A few premimum items). I'm in the process of buying all the land I want. I have 3 beach tiles, 6 first water and the line of water to go. I buy a couple of peices of land a day (but I only have 25k atm). but once I have that land I'll be earning enough to redecorate a bit each day and save for the million dollar items.

I still don't see the need for house farming...

Level 30. All cash buildings to this point (except cryptobarn cos not there with tiles yet).

It has taken 4 months of play to get to this point
