Rod n Todd... Why did I bother? What is the point of the level missions anyways?

I reckon that without a mission the game would become a mere xp point chase! Also you need to complete some tasks to unlock items! Besides allthat, the ocd in me forces me to complete complete complete!!!

And it gives you something to do, I guess
Just a little more bonus for being a quest, but most of us just do the quests to get rid of the stuff on the left side, and to open up the possibility of another quest.
I agree with that. But we do have squish/squidport and Krustyland as bonuses. They've kept me pretty busy.
People around here are just too picky
I don't think anyone's too picky really. I think we're a very diverse bunch of people. EA can't possibly please all of us all of the time but they do seem to be trying real hard lately.
When you get only nothing but what I like to call "killing time quests" i.e. grow perfection, have Lisa read a book, etc. that can feel a little pointless.
For those of us who have been here for awhile, there was a time when you reached the top level (level 20) and you were done. Nothing more to do other than pray for a new level to be released. Which for a very long time, never came.
Ill definately have lots to do on my return in September.
So I'm both happy and disappointed, i like having te quests but prefer when there not obviously drawn out with days of 24 hour ones.
Despite these similarities, the games then diverge. In Moves In, one constantly grows, cooks, and prepares food, drinks and flowers. The characters truly do walk around aimlessly about town. Every so often, a bubble appears above their heads indicating what they want (specific food item, drink or flower package). If you give them the item they desire, you get a bit of a bonus. And this continues on and on and on.
I think the developers of that game missed a HUGE opportunity to make things more interesting. I have no problem having the grow/cook/serve tasks be the main way of getting money, but why not have the characters do something other than just walk around? Why not have SpongeBob work at Krusty Krab for a period of time? Then maybe walk Gary (his snail) for a while. Why not have Mr. Krab count his money as a task? Have Squidward play his clarinet as a task. Have Sandy do experiments as a task. All of these could generate income - like they do in TSTO - and make the game a bit more interesting.
TSTO's little tasks are fun because not only do they use and interact with buildings, but interact with each other. Plus, TSTO usually requires these tasks in order to advance. Sometimes a building is unlocked during the course of tasks (for example, we must complete tasks in order to get through Krustyland). Other times, it's just a task that we have to do for some future update.
Either way, I like the TSTO tasks. It's far better the characters do something other than just aimlessly walking around waiting to be fed.
Yeah that would be great  Would defo make you want to complete the questline more
