Can easily make about $50K to $60K per day with little effort but if I really pushed--I've pulled in double that on days I was grinding $ for a building.
I have a small house farm too but it's nothing compared to what I've seen from others.
As I'm probably one of the youngest here, and still schooling in college, I can't get on as soon as possible like you guys. I generally make $15,000-$20,000 a day.
When I had all my "Pure Income Properties" in place I could rack up more than $1 million every three days. That was mostly white and orange with a few blues thrown in and collecting twice a day. I put most of my houses in storage and when I need a cash or XP infusion I lay down a few PIPs until I have what I need.
Currently there is a bug that won't let you access the build menu if you go over $9.9 million, so it is just about the XP for me right now. I have about 1/3 of my PIPs in place right now, but they will all go,into storage before December 5th.
Typically I'll bring in $50-$60k which seems like plenty.
I've got a few houses:
20 blue on 12 lots
9 white on 6 lots
9 purple on 4 lots
9 brown on 2 lots
I like them grouped into specific color neighborhoods since they're easier to collect and don't interfere with the aesthetics of my city.
That brings in about $15k.
The rest is from buildings and characters, premiums being the Halloween and non-building ones.
But I'm thinking the income is good. I guess it would be possible to build like another 200 blue houses, but would the extra $70k a day even be worth it? It just seems annoying to me. After Christmas is over maybe I'll make a pink and orange neighborhood, but I'd rather have a few $100k saved up for any level 24 buildings. They're sure to cost well over $200k.
That has to be a lot of brown houses farmed all day long... unless you have all of the land and completely filled it with houses. At that point is it even fun? What can you even do with that much money???

I didnt like to build so many houses to farm, but I just decided to get all the land in Springfield.
With the gold, I buy land, build blue houses.
I wont stop until I get all the land of Springfield. I almost finished south part of it.
After I got all the land, I will sell all the blue houses and make "real" springfield.
p.s I earn +70k gold per 8 hours from blue houses.

And when you get all the land you will struggle to stay connected to the game and your friends won't be able to visit you for more than a second

That seems to be every house farmers goal. How will the game keep your interest once you've completed your massive town? You'll probably still have a surplus of money and little reason to check back each day. I guess, at that point, you'll have beaten the game and can move on to another. Maybe checking in at the top of the month to look to the new update.

When I'm "in gaming season", doing 1 hr tasks and stuff like that, I guess I can get close to 80K.

Also, the most I have of any house is 2, so definitely no farming for me lol
